What is the difference between these two abilities?

Snoop improves visibility of hidden floor objects like Mini Medals. Nose For Treasure tells you how many unfound treasures remain on the floor.

Snoop is a famous rapper, Nose smells things for you. Thread solved.

Snoop has nearby unfound treasure emit blue sparkles, and also shows them on the minimap if you have it turned on

Most other comments covered most of the details, but just be aware Snoop is basically limited to the range of the minimap (maybe a bit smaller, even), so if you don't detect the loot with Snoop, try moving around a bit and scanning again in a different spot. Just sucks that Snoop actually has a MP cost, so just be aware of that~ XD

It only costs MP if you actually find something though. If there's nothing in range you can spam it and don't lose MP

Hopefully your experience with these abilities goes better than mine. I'm sitting at 109 Mini-Medals, have been to the site of every single Medal in the game about five times, Nose For Treasure says all treasures are accounted for and Snoop doesn't find anything either. I'm cooked.

Oof, I feel that, I was stuck on the last ~10 yesterday, having to go through that list. The only one I recall that seemed specific was the one on the Ibis castle throne mentioned it was only there at night? I got that one my first pass through the area, but it might only detect it with Nose For Treasure if it's night, so maybe try that one again at the right time?

Oh yes, I can confirm that I've got the Ibis Castle one. :( I fear I've encountered a bug, because I am being completely sincere when I say I have been to each Medal's location about five times.
