Let's play "Who can spot the irony?".
Except for Prinnys. They are doods.
LMFAO
But, you're a box. And I'm steel. It's physically impossible for us to be the same. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
How many people does that make us now, Box?
By the way, ol' Tak is over on the DQ I-II boards doing his usual thing.
.... wow... tell me you flunked basic science without trying...
in genetics gender is usually but not always a binary schema. in humans it is expressed in chromasomal pairs of XX or XY. thus without mutation causing a binary nature. that being said there are mutational examples of XXY that happen now and than. but we won't directly get into any of that
so on earth.. with the exception of things such as genus lumbricus, or the varying genus of snails and slugs. always binary genders.
it's not gender politics or "ideology" just simple science.. which you either slept through. or completely didn't understand
I thought different combinations of the same two variables is still considered binary?
For example in coding, 00111010111 is still part of a binary system, so why is XXY suddenly not part of a binary system?
Singular "they" is a replacement for "he or she" because it's less cumbersome. It's used to say you don't know the gender of the person you're referring to. That is how it's been used since 1375 and you know it.
Plenty of people think it's weird, as is evidenced by the fact that people keep calling it out as weird. The word has never been used in this specific way by writers until just recently. It was always considered to be an awkward and incorrect usage.
Some of us have actually read a book before, and know that this is the case.
I'm against this trend of making everything harder to read just because a handful of people are offended by reality.
Hey, nothing wrong with trying to be cordial. Just being outright offensive isn't good for the longevity of the species. Language is easy enough to navigate, all you have to do is listen and try to understand.
In his mind, you're an enemy if you think differently from him.
I don't think it's necessary to try and turn people on each other, as that has nothing to do with grey area since it's just drawing unnecessary lines in the ground.
