I'm on normal, and around the Abbey, I am forced to heal off battle because enemies constantly drop me to half HP. So no, enemy damage doesn't need adjusting.
MP consumption, is not the issue. The issue is the insane amount of MP that mages get.
The full heal on levelling is absolutely a design choice that I would have locked to the easiest difficulty setting.
The entire concept of characters not switching target, is an archaic design that does not need to come back. It's absolutely illogical.
Quest markers and objective displaying on screen CAN be removed... It's a literal option.
Your complaining about difficulty switching is irrelevant. If you play on a difficulty setting, just don't switch? Problem solved.
They are even doing this on normal, also right around the same spot. It's a good thing Hero gets Midheal at like level 18 because it's pretty needed.
Yeah, I am on normal, around level 20-21 and ♥♥♥♥ still hurts. There are no issues with the enemy damage that I can see. More would just be absurd and require unreasonable grinding.
It's just that they made the early game way too easy compared to the other versions of the game, and it gives a false sense of security.
Also has an expansion where your team carries over to the next game and the dev made a downloadable strategy guide to go with it and the first version ive linked below too (has some insane puzzle's in it).

But can confirm from googling from posts on other forum site's that the game does get harder on draconian setting past the starting area. Might be wise to give it a bit more of a go and get out of the starting area from what ive been reading online on other site's.
I am so going to double dip on this game. When I have more money, i'll be grabbing it on Steam too for the mods and achievements
There are no conceivable way that I am not giving them all my monnies for these remakes. This is what I want to see more of.
I'm really loving this game!
The stat growth modifiers from personality have a major impact on this game.
The only thing I agree on is changing difficulty BACK to Draconian, it should only go down and not up, with an achievements for draconian for slight external reward enjoyment like a trophy u look at in a shelf and makes u smile.
