vamp personality for party members?
I've looked up previous charts and such, but they seem to have changed things slightly, or resilience isn't directly vitality causing the entire chart to be off. was wondering if anyone was lucky enough with rng to get a vamp party member? if so I'd like to know the class and stats.

The % gains and penalties you get from personality types has likely changed. Unless someone can confirm the original values still hold. Like, Paragon for example was originally a 140% strength boost, I believe it's higher than that in this version.

Paragon is extremely strong on hero, but I haven't had any luck rolling Paragon on player created characters, so if any of you have, please share, because I'd like Paragon on anything that's not a caster.

I ran into the problem where it's pointless bringing extra party members, because they do like 1/3rd the damage of my hero because they haven't leveled up with Paragon str boosts, and my hero oneshots screens with 1 boomerang toss. 3 other party members sit and watch my hero toss a boomerang once every battle while doing nothing.

This is true about Paragon. Me and a buddy rolled a paragon hero and I'm at level 12 with 100 STR already, which is ungodly insane and I do more than double that of my similarly equipped warrior.

Paragon is more than +140% strength, hard to say for sure but I can comfortably say it's 150-180%. It's completely busted. Downsides are lower agility, and wisdom. All stats aren't equal, strength has a lot more value than agility & wisdom. Spell damage doesn't scale up with wisdom in parity to the way attack damage scales up with strength, and agility can be doubled with the meteor bracelet.

I might even prefer Paragon on a priest too, because a priest can still hit something with a weapon and do some damage, potentially more than they could do with a spell. There's a staff I got from the rank 4 monster arena that gives a big attack damage boost, and that got me thinking about how well that might work on a paragon priest.

This probably isn't helpful I got 2 vamp female Gadabouts and a lucky devil female Gadabout. The vamps had str stam and agi at about 10 and the luck around 19. The lucky devil had a luck of 22 and the rest of the stats were worse than the vamps. I had terrible rolls for most of her seeds. I wanted a high luck party so I kept the lucky devil anyway.

Just got Paragon on a female Warrior with the following stats:
Str 21
Res 13
Agi 7
Sta 14
Wis 7
Luck 6

Don't know enough about this game to know if the pretty low stats in 3 areas worth Paragon, but we'll see.

Just to be that guy but vamp is no longer female only. Well for the hero it is still female only though. I know this since i got male thief and priest with vamp.

Someone literally asked for it in this thread. Hence my quoting them as I was replying to them.

the stat gains are the same, basically 100% is the base stat gain per level based on class. such as warrior will have high gains in strength, resiliance, and stamina while having little to no gain in intelligence regardless of personality. if you get the everyman personality then you would only get these base stat changes based on class. the paragon personality gives high 40% increase in stat gain to strength per level bringing the total to 140% while it drops agility and luck by 30% for a paltry 70% and wisdom who was already lacking is dropped by 20% for a total of 80% of the base stat gain per level.

IT works exactly the same as it does on the SNES and GBA versions, I was able to make all four party members into Vamps using a guide for the SNES version. Note that you couldn't back in the day, and probably sdtill can't today, make a Warrior or a Fighter a Vamp, so if you want a Warrior/Fighter, start them as a Thief or monster tamer and reclass them later. (Or use the garter, but I like to have freedom with my accessories.)

I think vamp on male party members is called 'charmer' btw. if that helps.

It is still female only and yes party members can get it, I got my harem all with it.

Actually Male Party members can be generated with it now. But they can't equip the Garter so that would be the only way to get it for Male characters is generating it when making them upstairs at Patty's Party Planning Place. In almost the same vein Female Characters can be generated with Charmer but also can equip an accessory to get it

And for The Hero doing the personality quiz I think it's still split that Male gets Charmer and Female gets Vamp for the same scenario.

no, charmer is something else. it has a 5% boost in strength and wisdom, a 20% boost in stamina, and a 5% and 10% decrease in agility and luck respectively. vamp has a 10%,20%,5%,15%, and 20% boost to str, agi, sta, wis, and luk respectively. this all around buff to stat growth is also why it's sought, aside from the funny implication that characters with said personality are flirts.
