There are other copies of the book hidden throughout the game. I found one in a barrel in one of those points of interest they scatter all over the map.
Gadabouts are the only class that can naturally convert to sages without a book of enlightenment.
It could be worse, you could be playing the NES version, that game only had one book of enlightenment.
The easy one is in the Tower, you used it. The others are kinda hidden, or late game in the main quest. Until you find another book your other option to create a Sage is to run a Gadabout to level 20 and class change then.
But why go through the leveling grind again vs just farming?
Collectors Edition for Consoles had that. But for Steam players there's a mod on nexus mods that enables all the dlc stuff including the collectors edition dlc
