I believe there are a couple others that have expressed interest in making the same type of mod (fixing censored sprites / names / etc). I'm sure they'd be happy to help you out!
I recommend you to vote with your wallet because the mod remove censorship wouldn't change the fact you are giving money to the pro-establishment Wokies who censor your favor game to spit at your face for their progressive agenda. The best thing you can do is not giving money to the people who hate you
The only people I see filled with hate are not the ones trying to sell you the game.
Delusional.
It adds up and probably would be a bit time consuming.
This might give a decent point of comparison: https://www.spriters-resource.com/nintendo_switch/octopathtraveler
(This assumes that everything is stored on a single sprite sheet which may or may not hold true for this title)
Octopath runs on Unreal Engine as well. It's a bit difficult to explain but there's lots of ways to make a game in Unreal Engine. Saying "Octopath Engine" is more specific as it's an implementation of Unreal Engine.
You could also say DQ3 HD-2D and Dragon Quest XI both run on Unreal Engine (I believe HD-2D is on 5.x while DQXI-S was UE4 4.18).
But DQ3 HD-2D was made with help from Team Asano and will likely be much more similar to Octopath in terms of implementation (i.e. game logic, how the game displays the world, characters, handles the camera, etc), including how assets are organized.
There will definitely be a bit of a learning curve with this title, but the community should crack it quickly enough.
Square Enix has utilized Unreal in many ways, for a long time. Games like Trials of Mana or Triangle Strategy feature it.
There's been occasional slip ups (the Xbox 360 version of The Last Remnant was poorly optimized).
Thanks, a good idea, I remember dl their mods collection for DQXI I will try to reach them.
"It would also allow me to create new skins like Psaro as a monster tammer (I thought it would look good on him) and open the door to modding the game for others peoples."
Also, color theory and palette consistancy isn't something that non pixel artist are well aware, particularly hue shifting. I would add that Colorist is a real job.
Thanks for helping me with him x) Removing censorship isn't insanely difficult it's true, but who wouldn't want someone who knows more than is necessary to do the job?N I guess people like to complain about nothing today.
Do you know if Octopath already have visual/skin mods ?
