(A lot of people are here arguing the act of supporting SE is morally wrong in and of itself.)
Edit: I think for what it's worth, people will stop arguing after a little while, after everyone gets bored. I hope you're right honestly, but it may just take maybe a couple days. And I appreciate you offering to help with mods, so I will give you a wholesome award or something.
1 - a lot of people complaining thinks the perceived censorship is something new, caused by eeeeevil wokeness, when it's in fact decades old at this point.
2 - the other issue is the change of Male / Female to Type A / Type B, which they think it's something caused by the eeeeevil wokeness, when in fact it's something other DQ games already did years ago.
In short, the real issue is that they see Square-Enix is going woke, throw a fit over it, and are against the game and Square-Enix out of principle, the entire drama is first and foremost about wokeness, not censorship itself.
Some are even deluded enough to think this woke drama is so serious that the game is somehow going to fail
There are tons of sites outside of NexusMods including GameBanana, ModDB, and Based Mods
If the mod is removed from Nexus, it's at most a mild inconvenience.
yeah can we stop it with this microaggression. It is censorship. Not the Christian Bible thumping parents who called classic rock the devil's music censorship, but the "we take any sort of alluding to minorities as an offense" kind of censorship. And before you accuse me of being a racist, I'm of the minority population in America. My race is literally 6% of the American population, with the only minority below my group are Inuit, indigenous, and islanders. I hate it when Japan get these awesome art of Yu-gi-oh cards and we get everything censored because Christian moms are gonna cry about their kids getting exposed to things that are sacrilegious. In fact, I'm more surprised why people who are LGBT+ isn't on the side of uncensoring media because it would've been a big middle finger to the bible thumpers who always denied their existence, calling it a "sin" to be gay.
As for the censorship, you're completely missing the point, this is not new, other DQ games and even other versions of DQ3 had them, I'll give two examples that I remember at the top of my head:
1 - removal of cross, first time it happened was decades ago and eventually latter DQ games didn't even have a cross to begin with.
2 - female warrior character design, I don't know exactly when it happened, but that is also in japanese version of the games
My point is that a lot of those changes are not really censorship, because they're true for all versions of the game, for it to be censorship it has to be unique to us, but the japanese are getting the same version of the game, DQ didn't use crosses for years now, and japanese players have female warrior new design for a while too.
You can't uncensor something when the original is exactly the same version as we have.
Yu-Gi-Oh probably is the same, did it have censorship decades ago? Yes, but when it exploded globally I really doubt they bothered to make two versions of the cards, one for japan and one for the west.
As for you "BUt I'm a MiNorITY", that's not really the defense you think it is, anyone can be a racist against anyone.

At the beginning, you can see that it had type A and B.
But I couldn't find any more examples of games doing this in the series, so if you have more examples, I would appreciate if you can share them. (I even went as far as to track down a video of Walk, a game from 2019 and I noticed when creating the character part of it said "おとこ" which is man. I don't know a lot of Japanese, I just wanted to see if it said A or B anyway, or anything like that, then I saw that word.)
I do feel arguing over Type A / Type B is pure nonsense, many games did it and nobody bats an eye, Elden Ring do it, Baldur's Gate 3 and Palworld apparently does it, it's effectively a non-issue.
Censorship do have some merit, problem is that we're not getting a censored version, it's not about us, DQ dropped cross symbolism and changed to a trident a long time ago, all games use trident, character design changes are also for everyone, japanese included.
How can you really call it censorship when every single version is exactly the same?
To make it worse in my opinion, a lot of the supposed censorship is over worthless issues, like, the troll lips and female warrior wearing slightly more clothes? They're such inane things to complain about that don't affect anything.
Yes we know that there are dozens of you out there. Dozens! Minus a dozen or two who never were going to buy it anyway.
But hey, it's your call. As far as changes go and probably even body types I doubt SE will change and in some ways they even can't so I guess your DQ adventures (and SE as a whole?) Are, as they say, ogre.
