New Gameplay Footage (Includes Personality Quiz and Intro)

We get to see the opening sequence of the game in this new footage. I'm a few days late on this one, but I haven't seen anyone else talking about this!

The coolest part of this new footage is that we finally get to see some of those "new story elements" in play. We actually get to see how the Hero's mother feels about all of this. Also, note how this game now opens in the exact same way that DQ 11 ends, with the mother putting the book away on the shelf.

It happens at 27:30. There is a cut in the footage to avoid spoilers, but youtubers like DavidVinc have confirmed that the entire scene happens in the game. It's 100% confirmed, so don't get hung up on this.

Yeah! And some of the people who worked on Pokémon Mystery Dungeon also worked on the original DQ 3 Remake that introduced the quiz. I can't say DQ 3 did it first, but it certainly did inspire a lot of games after it.

The Myster Dungeon series started as a DQ spinoff!

Actually the personality quiz, if you mean the start of the game (I'm not calling this spoiler since its in the first minute of the game) actually was in the gameboy color version, personality effected PERHAPS 1 or 2 social interactions, but also point distributions for level ups, I don't recall all details, but something like stuborn people would be tanky, timid would be weaker, but better magic, ect....I might be wrong about what personality does what but this existed even in 1999. Its NOT new, and even some items would influence personality, like a cursed item making someones personality change, or lingere making a womans personality "sexy" so long as she wears it.

Yep! When I said the "original DQ 3 remake", I was referring to the one on the Super Famicom. That was the first remake they made of the game, and the GBC version is based on it. So actually, the personality system is older than you said; it goes back to 1996!
