Interesting; that's about 2.5 times longer than the Switch mobile port took me (about 10-15 hours to beat the game). I'm excited! I don't really know anything about Famitsu, or what the heck a 35/40 means. Out of... 40? What?

I'll really have to slow myself down and enjoy this one; I tend to blitz through these games.

Famitsu is the equivalent of IGN, which means to take that with a grain of salt. They're not going to say this 30 hour game takes 30 hours. They're going to say it takes 70 hours.

But, play-time is going to vary, wildly. Most users on here are only going to play 2-6 hours. Some will play for 300.

Either way, Famitsu is incredibly scummy, I'm surprised anybody still brings them up.

Really low score considering DQ's prestige in Japan. Another flop incoming for Square Enix. RIP.

Is 35/40 seriously "really low" and a "flop"? Genuinely, who even is Famitsu?

Do you think we as gamers have a healthy relationship with big corpo review companies? If they really are the IGN of Japan, how is a 35 a bad thing? Idk...

Wow thats pretty low. Famitsu normally rate Dragon Quest games super high so this is very concerning

What is "super high"? This is a genuine question. I'm going to go look up previous DQ ratings from Famitsu.

After looking at how they've rated other games, I'm not worried about a 35.

They gave Fina Fantasy 13-2 a 40, and they gave Final Fantasy Tactics a 34.

Shrug.

Sure 17, 5/20 is a total failure for a remake of 1988 ....

Looking at their 40/40 list, they're a bunch of jokers.
35/40 is quite low, even for them.
The only information i need is in all these hours of gameplay, how much are grinding levels..
