Since you can farm seeds all day I wouldn't bother with accessories that boost stats. I would use ones that prevent Death or other problems.
Luck ends up being really important later on because it governs status resist. Post-game monsters like Pandora's Boxes have party-wide sleep and paralysis attacks they can use 3x a round. Accessories that claim to help with this often only give 5-6% resistance which is a trivial buff. Elevating Shoes come with a huge luck bonus and no weird personality change so that's always my accessory of choice. Warriors and Sages have poor luck growth so just be aware they end up a little weaker in that area.
The popular strategy for the super duper secret boss requires Falcon Blades on Thieves and Duplic Hats on Sages. There's other setups that could work, obviously, but ending on those classes seems to be the consensus.
Also wonder if raising Characters in this game will be similar to raising Monsters in DQM: The Dark Prince and if it's optimum to raise Characters to Max Level before Class Changing...?
Judging by the page on the Japanese Hyperwiki, almost every stat's growth for every class gradually peaks and drops at a certain point (usually the 40s-60s, sometimes earlier, sometimes later), but unlike the prior versions the drop is a gradual one. The typical class will have gains of +1s from maybe 85+ in 3-4 out of 6 stats, +2s for the rest. There's a couple where the stat growth is always decelerating. And Sages are weird, their stat growth for most stats oscillates.
If you leave a class at a certain level, you take a certain number of stat points with you to the next class, and whatever spells or abilities you've learned permanently.
One of the achievments is for a character to get ALL the vocations abilities and spells.
Part of me REALLY wishes you could add the Hero's spells as well just to see what the AI thinks is best at times.
Max level is 99, and you keep a bit more than half of the stat points between class changes, and what ever stat points you added from seeds.
this game does not have metal king slimes sadly, only metal slimes and metal babbles.
although around level 50 or so the amount of XP needed to level seems to stop growing exponentially and instead levels off a bit and just starts growing linearly (and not by much) so the grind to 99 is not so bad.
But 4 martial artist, at some point with critical attack, level all jobs up easy. Due to the 2 arm braces that double agi, agi seeds on 3rd and other agi accessories on 4th. You can kill all liquid slimes before they get a chance to attack.
