What does Merchant's Dig ability do?

Are there places you can use this to get more than a few coins? There really isn't any information anywhere

Yea I wondered the same but these guys are pretty thoughtful in anything they do.

I'm sure they wouldn't lock unique treasures behind a skill that's only on one class. Just like you don't really need Monster Wrangler, there's other ways to do it.

I think it's like you said, just a way to get some more coin.

I actually acquired one or two very useful things with Dig. To do this I had to find an obvious location by boat where it looked like a good dig spot. I.E. if you see something to travel to that seems isolated and seems like it isn't going to have anything of value anywhere then chances are.... That's when you should DIG. You can get good stuff sometimes.

Merchant's Dig is both really useful and really not useful. It is the literal definition of gambling.

You have a small chance to get a couple coins, a small chance to get items ( around the same amount of chance of getting a drop in combat ), or a really really really small chance to get half your gold. The last of which can after about 6-8 hours, net you max gp. Yes, this is a thing.

However, you can only use it 5 times per transition, so you have to go in and out of locations often and alot.

Metal Slimes drop agility seeds. The really odd one is Healers dropping Strength Seeds??

I swear I think I had one of those cone shelled slimes drop a Wisdom Seed before as well when ya'd think Stamina or Resilience would be more their schtick as well. I'm getting the impression that seed droppage is not aligned to 'monster's greatest strength'...
