I was pretty sure there was a time when you had to have game time in to review a game, but I could be misremembering.
These days I believe they put a disclaimer on the review, something like "This game has been refunded."
Those are interesting points. I've read several Japanese reviews criticizing the Temple of Trials specifically and physical classes falling off in later dungeons. That's definitely my least favorite part of the game but it's also a super secret extra challenge.
My sense is the player is *supposed* to roll up new party members for the specific weapon trials, but instead everyone wants to brute force their way through with their default party. And then they get wrecked and post criticisms about unfairness.
I wouldn't mind if it got a balance patch, but I also don't think it ruins the game.
Something as little as scrolling 6 pages of spells despite only having 2.5 spells a page. Things like equipment being very deceptive in raw numbers VS performance. Text Speed being snails pace at default speeds, voiced lines have no auto advance (this has been in a few Dragon Quest games now.) I could continue, but its these little 2024 touches that someone could have pointed out during QA which makes it harder to recommend at $60.
for me, review bombing is a myth.
if a game is good it has good reviews, if a game is bad it has bad reviews.
thats the simple truth, no matter if they come in bulk or not.
besides almost all the time that people say a product is getting review bombed, is just that they cant swallow the pill that their cherished product, has an irredeemable problem.
that being said i don't think it matters much since i think the guy that mentionned reviewbomb in the first place, for this game is heavily exaggerating.
i'm considering to buy it but at a lower price and with a mod to remove the censoring.
indeed, thanks for the tip
i don't really care about seeing nudity, i'm 29 i've seen my share of naked people or whatever else it is they censored.
it's just for the principle of it, i hate censoring in media and i don't think it should ever be some, no matter how small it is, cause once it starts where does it end.
and beside i intend to have a full male party because i'm both gay and a misogynist
i know you're sarcastic and somehow a bit riled up about me deciding to do something that won't really change your life, i mean, you first commented in this convo the moment i said i wanted to get rid of the censoring...
but i still think that your last sentence is 100% correct no amount of it is ok
good news indeed, i've just got a key for the game from a third party site, and its downloading.
while it appears that you're right that this game seems to have been quite sparred, i'm still gonna download that mod because.. well we're on PC and we can, so..
