WTF??? Cantlin's First Monster Arena fight???

Okay, I absolutely crushed all monster arena ranks up until this first rank, Rank 8 I think. What gives? I have ALL the monsters I can find (at Zoma) and ALL my monsters get absolutely destroyed. NONE of them can make it through the series of fights. How do you beat this insane boost in difficulty round?

Personally I used the same trio for all battle, one tank like (best is metal slime like,), one damage dealer (I remember using Knight, Dragon and blue slime in the end get good) and finally one healer with a good mp pool....
And dont forget to change your tactics, it can forced them to use other skill instead of just the same basic one....

Tried that, they all got destroyed by the dragon, bear, rezzing mage which always does an AOE breath for 100 each, a double boom or double aoe fire spell, and 100-150 swipe, resulting in a one round wipe.

The team that got me through Rank 8 and 9 was Mercurio, Green Giant and Lucy. Try using those and ofc change tactics accordingly. RNG can ♥♥♥♥ you over a bit, but if you have both Mercurio and Lucy at Max level, and base Green Giant, it should be fine.

wat? You can't level up the monsters via any method other than finding other monsters of the same species, redoing fights doesn't do anything for you?
