I didn't even know Blasto could hit the Hero. This was one hell of a fight to find *that* out. And that Bounce reflects the protected caster's spells into the enemy party--I had a magic resistant Baramos for several rounds!
I brought MP-restoring items but I was like 25% down in MP before I could reliably even injure him (I'm glad this version tells you which bosses regenerate).
I had to make a decision to take a risk the last two rounds, too--in a row. I had Insulatle and Magic Barrier running out at the same time I'd want to heal. Kacrack on that echoing hat did most of the work. I learned Kacrackle after the fight.
That first spell of his made my ears bleed that was a LOT of damage the NES values never went that high!
