My Baramos story [strategy spoiler]
I was using Orochi sword on my Hero to cast sap because on previous run SAP didnt work when my Sage cast it. Other than that Sage and my thief/Priest cast insulate, kabuff, heals, magic barrier, and Oomph. Warrior and hero would attack.

I got him to red a couple times but my team would wipe.

My last attempt my Thief/Priest and Warrior had been blasted off the battle field, and it was just hero and Sage. I figured I would see if Baramos was immune to magic and cast KAcrackle and it hits hard! So i kept healing with Hero and casting Kacrackle. I got lucky with lots of fizzle and bedazzle misses from Baramos and then he killed my Hero and brought sage down to 15 health.

Last cast killed him! One guy standing at 15 health but we pulled it off lololol. Was great.

I went in alone with the Hero wielding a Blizzard Blade that took forever to finally steal from an Armful, the majority of my Sage Elixirs and the staff that casts Bounce when you use it in battle.

Rocked him like a hurricane, thunderbolts and lightning very frightening.

I went in with a monster wrangler and two sages with everyone set to fight wisely. I just pressed fight every few seconds and watched the special effects and listened to the music. Of course I was only on normal difficulty. It might've gone differently on Draconian.

I was having a hell of a time with my three gadabouts on regular difficulty. I simply didn't have the dps with falcon slash. Then I read that Baramos has a wind weakness. Wind slash was enough to make it work. I was even able to set the gadabouts to fight wisely. To be fair I was carrying a ton of oomph powder. Oomph and eggon stack. I only had to cast omni-heal twice. It helps that I had found three staff of revival. The gadabouts each had an asbestos earring and a spirit bracer.

Hi.

I didn't even know Blasto could hit the Hero. This was one hell of a fight to find *that* out. And that Bounce reflects the protected caster's spells into the enemy party--I had a magic resistant Baramos for several rounds!

I brought MP-restoring items but I was like 25% down in MP before I could reliably even injure him (I'm glad this version tells you which bosses regenerate).

I had to make a decision to take a risk the last two rounds, too--in a row. I had Insulatle and Magic Barrier running out at the same time I'd want to heal. Kacrack on that echoing hat did most of the work. I learned Kacrackle after the fight.

That first spell of his made my ears bleed that was a LOT of damage the NES values never went that high!
