Sparkly Spots - WORST Part of the Remake
Please explain why the developers even added the Sparkly Spots to this game (other than for achievements). So far I have checked out over 270 Sparkly Spots and 90% of the time the rewards are garbage.

I am in Alefgard and I am still getting things like Plain Clothes, Iron Equipment, Oaken Clubs, Medicinal Herbs, Antidotal Herbs from these spots. What is the point!? Am I supposed to sell this crap because it would be quicker to just farm enemies for both gold+EXP.

I like the idea of exploring the map for rare finds but if my exploration leads to junk then why even bother? I might as well stay on the main path and not bother searching the islands.

I'm in a similar position. I don't hate the idea of the sparkly spots, i like things that encourage exploration and adding reasons to wander the world map other than just getting from A to B.

But the fact that a majority of spots just don't even have anything worth going out of your way to get sorta overshadows that. Sure, a lot of them will give you seeds too, which aren't bad, but you can farm seeds pretty easily otherwise too.

Yeah if they were like, random stuff that regenerated like in IX it might be better.

Yeah, I'll admit frustration at getting early-game gear near the end game. The only thing I can really tell myself is that some of those spots might represent other adventurers who were woefully underprepared and met their untimely end to fearsomely powerful monsters.

I do have to admit that it would be really rad if there was a sort of reporting system that told a central server when and where different players wiped, and the sparkly spots were generated based on that data and what those players had at the time. Alas, that's a much more involved thing to achieve, lol

Because without them the overworld areas are BORING.

its not badly designed. if you hold off on buying things from stores often more than not hidden items, chests, or sparkly spots can grant them to you for free (for your patience)

otherwise SOME items ive only ever gotten from sparkly spots and they are really good!

and lastly if you just get a buncha junk you dont need, well... thats great stock to sell to the nearest merchant for a quick penny to buy some great gear or items.

I dont see the problem

I found a ton of seeds to boost stats at em, and plenty of crap gear to burn for gold. I like em
