EDIT: and I mean officially and legally
Se Asia is new... my bet, as dq3, dq1 dq12 and perhaps other remakes 4 to 9, plus spin offs come to market. Sales will show investors they can make a profit.
I still say it probably be 2028 to 32. Long way sure but it will need big numbers like final fantasy 15, 16.
Here ya go![www.nexusmods.com]
Japan has always sold more than NA with anything DQ related. Final Fantasy is (most of the time) stronger in NA but even that is more often 50/50.
I disagree, they already are. Dqx went from jp to Se Asia languages. And well ffxiv is their cash cow. Monthly subs. Dqx is a monthly sub as well, as nd still releasing new expansions.
As dq games sales rise and ip gets more global, I can see it getting localized. It's a cash cow ip.
I dont think localizing is the biggest issue. I think its laws that involve publishing it in other countries.
An example of this would be playstation. Sure they would love to sell steam games in 200 more countries, but laws and publishing of games holds them back.
But give it time it will work out. I have seen this play out over and over. Classic example Google was banned fro. China, hence watching kong. But google took a knee, did all laws China made it adapt to, and built a new great firewall to track its citizens. So it got the pass.
So yea dq x will come, leys just hope we slive and healthy to play it.
Bs. Already an English patch ... so your just giving invalid excuses. And it's as good as dragon quest x online patch, what is as good as trails of azure. That patch became official because it was so good when the game went global. So yea. Hot air you have. But I understand if the games to long or hard for you.
The dqx on steam is an offline version. Who cares when original goes offline, this game will last forever and has an English patch that works on pc windows and linux deck.
But I do understand if you dont have the time for it. Besides an mmo it's one of longest games I have played. 300 to 500 hours. On par if you play and complete all kingdoms of amalur, re reckoning.
