Spell for detecting treasures not working.
The spell to detect treasures seems to be broken, atleast for me. I'm standing right next to a chest in a dungeon and the spell says that no treasures are nearby lol.

Maybe it's a Mimic. Oh no!

You have to be facing said chest. Most likely positioned wrong. For second person: treasure glows blue. Mimics red.

That's Snoop. He's trying to use Nose for Treasure.

Ah, you're right. The text on both spells are pretty similar.

Nose for Treasure will still detect mimic/canniboxes as treasures. Now I am not sure if you use peep and see that it is a mimic then use Nose for Treasure that it will ignore that chest.
I'll try it out when I get the chance.

In some of the dungeons, there are treasure chests that are empty. Is it possible that Nose for Treasure ignores the empty ones?

Nose For Treasure (I was about to abbreviate it and realized I shouldn't, lol) does actually count empty containers:
I've had it tell me there are 5 treasures remaining in a Secret Spot, and at least two of the pots were empty but still counted towards the total.

Good to know, thanks for the info.

That's actually Peep that lets you know if a chest is safe or a monster.
Snoop makes uncollected treasure emit blue sparkles (this includes invisible items on the ground), as well as briefly marks their position on the minimap if it is available.
