We all know all the large outlets are gonna give this game a 7, because they give everything a 7.

But what rating would YOU give this game based on FIRST IMPRESSIONS (lol)? No judgement. Go.

Famitsu lost their credibility a long time ago, I don't pay any attention to them. They're the equivalent of IGN in Japan.

Eesh. That's rough. Really low score for a DQ game. Many (including DQ9 and DQ11) scored a perfect 40/40, and the original DQ3 scored a 38/40.

Even DQM3 The Dark Prince (which has a LOT of issues) scored a 36.

Something must be really off about this game. Sucks because we waited well over 3 years for it.

yup, im a bit worried since DQ is so beloved in japan. wonder if this has anything to do with them not releasing a demo

I need someone to explain Famitsu's rating system to me so that I can understand why people are freaking out about these guys giving this game a 35/40. What does "out of 40" even mean?

Can someone translate the review?

I did the math and the score equates to about 87.5% which seems pretty good to me after all. Maybe just people baiting. Id be interested to see other review scores.

Famitsu has four people review and each one gives an out of 10 score, so add it up and it becomes out of 40.

Well! I'm a big DQ3 fan, but I am sad to say I will be passing on this one, at least until they remove Denuvo.

If I had to rate it, I would say 7/10. -1 for Denuvo, -1 for first person only, and -1 for the way they conducted themselves at their interview.

Denuvo shouldn't ruin your personal pleasure! You only have one life, you have the right to enjoy your fav game

Hey, thanks for that. I will be eventually getting it since they seem to be removing Denuvo from releases after some time, but I also need the price to drop because I know this is not a $60 game.
