It literally makes no difference to the game. Want to play a male character? Pick the masculine option and play the game. Female character, same but with the feminine option. It's the same choices that have been there since the SNES version and getting upset because a couple words are different while the game still gives the same functionality and option regardless is nonsensical.

It's a change that makes some people happy while literally taking nothing away from anyone else. As such I really couldn't care less and will simply play and enjoy the game.

Why should men and women, males and females, who represent 99.95% of the population, have their genders erased to pander to .05% of people? Why are we letting such a tiny amount of people dominate our language, our game design, and our culture? They do not get to dictate the language to us.

Never pay for games that erase you to push an agenda. Find other ways to play them if you must, but don't give these companies a dime.

Okay, but why not call it male or female at that point? What was wrong with that? Do you look at a female and say "You know, I really like this Type B. Maybe I'll ask her out." Like who talks like that?

Honestly it only adds in vintage value considering that localized NES RPGs always had translations cut out shortened and simplified, it does not impact me negatively nor positively, I always wanted to see the original trilogy remade and localized

You know what's kind of funny. For the people coming on here saying who cares. You must really care unless you wouldn't waist your time posting on these forms on these same topics over and over again. It's mind-boggling that we live in a time where it is offensive to say male and female. Science proves there is only two genders (well besides for what a 0.6%.) Mental Health is a real problem and needs to be taken care of not cater to.

As someone that works with people with mental disabilities it's sad how many normal people treat them like they are dumb. They really aren't they many not be able to do somethings that a normal person care, but that doesn't mean you got to treat them like a child or the main one like they are death. Then again we live in an age where we treat people like celebrities that make 10 second videos of them dancing or doing dumb crap.

No it doesn't. Though that would be kind of nice since in the original game women were just objectively better so picking a male felt like nerfing yourself. Would be nice if male characters actually get those benefits
