Dqx offline has an English model translation now. And anyone can buy it on steam jp.

It's a game sure you must buy it on steam jp but then not region locked, and no vpn to play it. Beat the whole game myself 520 hours.

offline? you do know it has way less features then the online yes? even missing lots of story, as far i know offline only goes up to version 2, no version 3 to 7 and eventual more, i mean there are translation tools for online aswell, wich would make you able to play the real full game so to say

Your funny, sure I am aware of it. But guess what, offline version doesnt cost a sub, it also doesn't require an internet. And after you beat it all you can transfer to online via code from priest, retain all your data.

And the gameplay is quite different. Lastly, some people want to try a gsme, not dedicate all game time to one mmo.

Granted it's a good mmo, and later may contunie online, but tons offline games to play and enjoy.

Online has "more content" but is a lot slower paced. Personally, I dislike the whole MMO experience and constantly getting harassed to come join some jackwad's clan/party.

Offline is much quicker, gives you a real party that's a part of the narrative, has voice acting, and turn-based battles. Basically, what you come to expect in a traditional DQ.

For me, Offline was a lot more immersive. Online had way too many distractions. All the microtransactions shoved into Online also really put me off.

The Zeneithian trilogy? That one is possible but it depends on how well these games sell before we see anything like that here especially in the west. I think that can be done the easiest though as those games were 2d on the SNES here. DQ8 just needs a RTX HDR mod and 4k visual upgrades and widescreen support in order for most gamers to drop the PCSX2 iso for the pc port here. DQ9 would be a very hard sell though to remake as it was a DS multiplayer game where you had to use the offline connector to share maps offline. Again I do not know how popular the idea of a DQ MMO in the west is as FF 14 is beginning to falter with the likes of Helldivers 2 and other live service games coming online here soon. DQ7 would be a massive undertaking to remake as it was one of the biggest dragon quest games of the series and it was also one the longest games on the PS1 at 155 hours to 100% complete it. If SE remade DQ7 the game would more than likely nuke a 1tb or even a 2tb gen 4 ssd here as DQ7 was massive for it's day as the game clocked just under 155 hours to 100 percent complete here.

To me if these games sell well I would bet on the Zeneithian trilogy before we see DQ7-10 here remade.

DQX Offline isn't meant as a replacement for the main game, it is supplemental to 'catch players up' to join the main game.

It's essentially functionless and lacks the key features of DQX innately in its Offline version.
