Feedback
I'm about to drop off, but figured I'd leave my thoughts for now.

To start, I'm fairly confused by a lot of the setup/UI. There's a lot of actions that aren't clear on what they do or how to do it; I would recommend having a lot of this as mouseover tooltips (I know you mentioned on another thread that this was developed for mobile first, but it's pretty frustrating on PC to have to click into a bunch of menus to figure something out.)

Some examples of stuff that's confusing:
- Size - this randomly goes up. Why? (Yes, it's listed in the help menu, but It's also referred to as 'Maturity' in there.)
- I bought a leaf and now my water went down? But when I mouseover the leaves they don't show the water upkeep cost.

Second, this might be one of the slowest idle games I've *ever* played. I tried a few different plants, and while Moss is certainly slow, I can't find a single plant that doesn't feel like progress is just mind numbingly slow.

This seems to be a combination of two problems - your bonuses you buy are comparatively expensive, and the benefits you get are comparatively small.

For example, on the Fern, which is marked as one of the more active plants, increasing my sugar production requires buying an exponential amount more of roots and leaves (since the formula for size is sqrt(leaves + roots)), but the actual sugar increase is linear. So if I want to increase my size from 11 to 12 to increase my sugar production by a mere .15/second, I need to buy 23 leaves/roots, which is anywhere from 115 to 230 seconds of production, and the benefit I get is just *not interesting or useful*.

Finally, the DNA bonuses are....very underwhelming. To take another example from the fern, once I buy the first few 50% bonuses, the next ones are 3 DNA for a 20% water efficiency increase. But...water and sunlight *only* matter for making sugar, and your sugar output is fixed by your size. Sure, it's nice to hit equilibrium faster and get away from clicking, but those bonuses don't actually *increase my output*. And again even if it did... a 20% increase kind of sucks. The bonuses after that are even lower: a 10% decrease in the ratio for sunlight/water to sugar. I'd assume this also doesn't actually increase your sugar output, just gives you more sunlight/water income.

Another example: I'm earning 189 sugar a minute. If I save up for a thousand sugar (5.2 minutes), I can buy Nitrogen, which...doesn't actually specify what it does. It seems like it
skips forward in time, but how much? Oh, I only earned 472 sugar, so I basically just threw away a chunk of resources for nothing. Oh, and now my plant is *diseased*, wonderful!

This just doesn't feel like it wants me to play more. I'm constantly doing things that feel like I just threw resources on the floor for no good reason, and when I try and grind up DNA, the rewards are just extremely uninteresting.

Appreciate the feedback!

Some aspects of this I will definitely add, such as increased information on the tooltips, Nitrogen should be labeled in ticks the way the time boosts are for the Succulent (which actually looking at those, those are listed in minutes >.> they both needs to be changes to ticks.)

As far as the slowness of the game, that much is true for a lot of the plants and a lot of the playerbase really like that.

There's a guide I made to speed running but I haven't recorded a voiceover for it yet.

I will for sure add more information on the tooltips and actually remove some of the old information.

As I said it was made for mobile first but we're making improvements each and every day to improve the play experience.

As far as the upgrades go for individual plants, the problem with improving those is that they are applied first in a long series of possible upgrades.

So for instance with Sugar, you can get +50% production on the individual plant, then get that bonus multiplied by the meta perk from the succulent and then again multiplied by the map bonus and squared by a column bonus.

The number one complaint I have gotten so far is about the lack of a tutorial and I'm trying to find a solution to that, I want a lot of the game to be available for the players to figure out on their own but at the same time I don't want the game to turn off new players too much.

Thank you for taking the time to write such detailed feedback though! I will be implementing quite a few of these suggestions in the next update especially with regards to the tooltips.

Following up on this!

Please to let you know that we have added a number of tooltips with explanations about the formulas used.

As a result of implementing these formula tooltips a major bug was discovered with the Moss plant that was causing it to convert Sunlight and Water to Sugar at half the speed it was designed to, so extending a thank you to you for your very good feedback and the positive changes it led to.
Dunno where to formally submit a bug report, but buying the lichen protection racket of 500 sugar doesn't work with buying multiples. Buy 1, +500 sugar. Buy 10, +500 sugar. Buy 100 for 5 million sun...+500 sugar. The +5000 seems to work tho.

Found the bug, fixing it on the next update with the Rabbit art for the succulent background will be going live tonight.

Ok fixed in the newest update
Is there some way to bulk buy flowers? Holding doesn't work, I don't see any buy multiple option. I'm not fond of the idea of ruining my mouse by clicking some 1700 odd times in a row to get the map. Hell, an autoclicker doesn't even register somehow, idk if that was intentional.

If you click the multiplier underneath it will work on flowers as well as leaves and roots

i play with fern, and after 30min i get adhips, now i can choose between no sugar or no water/sun, i choose close game and a new try tomorrow
i dont know if this is normal with fern, but if i start a game (was my first game start) its not optimal to get a hard stop after 30min

I played around with different plants and they were all beginner unfriendly. I ended up afking moss and then grinding succubus (you have to close the game here in order to avoid the rabits). Once I got the rabbit upgrade and pushed it again firther, I managed to get the time boosts. Using time boosts, I completed all other plants within 2 hours from zero to max. I've unlocked a map and picked a column. I got some random adj bonus now (why didn't it let me chose anything) and I'm supposed to start over from zero without any meaningful buff -.-. I've completed 1 time seed, but stopped, as the help-text said one shouldn't worry about it in the first map tile (which is a lie?!).

Overall, it has been an underwhelming experience. It didn't feel like I was having any meaningful choices during gameplay. Completing a map tile did nothing! I didn't unlock new plants, I just got a small pointless buff. I mean, I was able bear the berry map on difficulty 100. I could probably beat the other maps on difficulty 100 too on the first tile. So what's the point in starting over on a new tile?

Coming back to this, thanks for the reply! It's also perfectly fine that this game is not my speed and if other people enjoy it, then you keep on keeping on. I apologize if my post came off as frustrated or upset.

I'm just glad people played it at all. Some people have gotten some enjoyment out of what was essentially a technology test. The next game we're making is a deckbuilder with Idle aspects and will be a lot more fleshed out with about a year of planned development time.
