As I understand after playing. It is made up of two endings, the good and the bad.

The good ending where you decide to stop taking the pills and escape from the basement and see the sun.

The bad ending where you decide to take the pills for life and continue the life you have, locked in that basement, to the point of gaining weight as it says in the end.

As a context to understand these two endings, could we say that the child is locked in a basement and a mysterious subject manipulates him by lying to him about the outside and that he must take the pills for a type of virus from outside? As a personal opinion, I think that he makes him take the pills to manipulate him or even to keep him inside, because in the good ending when we stop taking the pills, you could say that we stop trusting the father, and we can escape or he lets us go. On the other hand, always taking the pills makes us trust him extremely, that is, we totally trust what he says and we never get out of there.

On the other hand, this could be reflected as a mental problem of the child with all those dreams and extreme fear of detachment from the father, reflecting fear, addiction, and even a disease like schizophrenia, but I really don't know if this is trying to imply the game. the words at the end.

Her "gaining weight" was a baby. Figure it out.

The good is when you can finally get out of the house and get your "papa" arrested (i don't know if he got arrested), you've never saw the sun for basically your whole life.
In bad ending, you've been stuck for a lot of time, but you don't remember anything as the "pills" make you tired and "wipe out" your memory indeed they're sedatives, you will notice you're more slow and that's because you will be pregnant... in facts your "papa" forced you to do s__, his only purpose was to force you to do that while you were spleeping (maybe?) and to not make you remember anything, that's why he used sedatives.

The bad thing is true, he comes to the same conclusion that the pills were a sedative, what I didn't think about is that she ends up pregnant because it didn't fit me since she appears to be a girl and they don't give any clues about her gender either, but with what she says In the end you confirmed it, I didn't say it was a baby I had because I don't understand English well, I even speak Spanish, but now that you mention it I understand it. And better conclude that this must be the bad ending.

Don't worry, I don't speak english very well too, i'm italian and also yes, we got no clue if it's female or male or if it's a child or an adult untill bad ending as it reveals we're pregnant meaning were female and since we're pregnant for sure we aren't a kid.

Also i have a theory that the nightmares actually rapresent what papa tells to us or out feeling, like the first one could be 2 things: maybe it's our fear that papa won't come or maybe and most-likely it's our curiosity, in facts the dream ends right when we try to open the basement door because we have no idea of what's out so we can't imagine it, the second is basically how we think the world outside is and the mosters is the rapresentation of our fear maybe, the third one maybe coul've something to do with claustrophobia? i don't think so because if we were claustrophobic then for sure we wouldn't be chill in our home, it could rapresent our "acknowledge" like think about it, we only know a little room and in that dream there is a big blue maze thingy, the end of this dream os when we fall but in this dream too we can that we're being more curious than the day 1's as there are even more stairs, now let's get to the important one, the one where we have to choose among take pills or not, if you decide to take them your nightmare will be a loop but every time you go up to the basement you will see more chains, now i think the fact that it's a loop happens because of how repetitive our life is going on, but we never remember a thing and i think that the chain means we're having every day less and less freedom (like if we had it); if decide to not take them your nightmare will be umm... quite hard to explain, there are 3 places where you need to press e everything time there will be a sentence like "are you sure about that" or "you should trust your papa" and i think it's just us "breaking free" and basically fighting the other part of ourself, the part that thinks trusting papa is a good idea.

I feel like none of you completely understand this.

This game is meant to spread awareness, the little girl is being held in the basement by 'papa', she is told to take pills because of a possible infection (these pills are birth control or a sedative.) 'Papa' is sa'ing the little girl. The dreams are meant to give a feeling of being trapped and confused, similar to memories and nightmares of memories like what is experienced by people who have gone through this.

If you choose not to take the pill after 'papa' disapears for two days, you have a dream about undoing chains and it keeps asking "are you sure" "trust your papa" ext, showing the guilt and confusion that comes along with these situations. If you do not take the pill, you will not be sleepy at night, and you will hear the dialogue of papa starting to sa the little girl, before he is interrupted by people knocking at the door. He will run upstairs and leave the door open and she will go outside, to which we learn she has never been outside before. This is the good ending.

The bad ending; taking the pill and finding out you are pregnant (by papa).

Unless I am misunderstanding, this is supposed to spread awareness about sexual abuse/assault (especially on minors). The description of the game can explain more, and it clearly states that we're living the life of "A YOUNG GIRL". As a survivor of such abuse, this was triggering, but it is good to spread awareness of such horrific things.

Yeah, it is meant to. I only didn't know that papa would run upstairs after the dudes knock.

I found this game through a youtube short so I already knew what the moral of the game was, but I like the open-endedness of this game. I feel like it really makes you think abt her situation and makes the player aware that this could truly happen to anyone.

This actually happened to a girl, the game is inspired on that case, if you want to know more you should do researches about the "Joseph Fritz case"

I have another theories, At the game, we know we should "Wash yourself" but why wash? wash from what? that's mean "Wash yourself" is a sign that the little girl here "Wash herself" from her father sperm, since this game is based in sexual abuse/sexual assault, and 1 other weird thing's that occur is "Wash yourself", Why not taking a bath or shower? and + it's make me more suspicious that the girl in the games doesn't wear any clothes.....

That's not true at all, girls can start their period even at 9 years old (which is becoming very common now), they weren't a toddler but very well could have been a young kid.
