We're working on a new game called Time Warpers [www.timegamers.com]. Our goal is to take everything we love from Time Clickers (upgrades, progression, etc) and combine it with the action of a first person shooter. We post an update on the game every Friday so that people can see what it looks like & get a feel for the gameplay.
why couldnt you make it as challenging and engaging as the free game?
it begs for it
first and fore most i want a good aiming game to train my aiming in shooters
CLICKER game are supposed to be about clicking a lot of time, that's the purpose of these game. They are mostly here to just do someting when you have nothing to do. They are generally simple, easy and infinite.
Time Rifter is not a CLICKER. It's a SHOOTER. You move a lot (especially in FPS), you plan ahead (strategies what weapon is the best to use and how your team (in this case you) split up the work) and here, you have actual goal to achieve. CLICKER's goal are just random milestone (if you are reading this Kenzie, don't worry, I also liked Time Shooter).
Time Rifters gave the ability to upgarde the fire rate (flak cannon being the fastest I believe, it turns into a fire hose of bullets).
But you are correct that tap firing at a nearly unlimited fire rate is satisfying (limited only by frame rate). But we discovered this only when working on Time Clickers. At first we had a delay to prevent auto-clickers from working, but had many discussions with the community and realized it was the wrong approach (benefit of a game in Early Access, we could make lots of changes with community feedback).
So we are taking the best of both worlds in Time Warpers. If you look at the 2nd gif Kenz shared on the blog post: http://www.timegamers.com/threads/friday-update-drones.1736/
The drones act like counter-strike auto weapons, but the pistol works like the Time Clickers tap-fire weapon.
Related: We aren't sure if the tap weapon should require a reload. I'm leaning towards no reload, but some in the community think that would be OP. We want to get to the point where we can release an Early Access version to start getting feedback.
if you ha dmade time rifters as time clickers iw ould be adicted
you should definetly listen to me and learn everything from bunker punks.. that is a very addicting game but the enemies are boring.
of you make an arcade game where people can play forever to train their aim...
make a mix of bunker punks and aim hero.. aim hero is also loveley
Could you expand on why you like the graphics in Time Rifters more than Time Warpers?
For example, this is what Time Warpers looked like 4 months ago: https://gfycat.com/SomberOrneryBantamrooster
Then we got a bunch of feedback for various reasons people didn't like the visual style (which I agreed with) and we updated it to the latest gifs. But it is still a work in progress and more feedback is always appreciated.
This is what it looks like now:

Here are some other art concept tests related to Time Warpers:

what enigne did ou use for time rifters? and what is the reason you changed engine? or is it same enginge but different art direction?
can you give me good comparison pictures between both games?
i am on facebook and i can be on IRC if you like chat .. or just add me as friend here or whatever!
i would love to be on the project i wouldt ask anything back.... i LOVE these games these games should come and challenge the stupid boring one sided one ride AAA games.
i am also not sure though but is there a good marked for games that train you for FPS games? ... is that a marked to try to target? i dont know ... but honestly i myself need them and i love them.
I think Time Warpers is currently too 'noisey' when you look at it. We had a shader bug a while ago that made it look smooth and different:

Some people actually liked the bug.
I think we'll be doing some more visual experiments soon. I've added you as a friend on Steam. I find Steam chat is a pretty nice way to disuss stuff.
