Just dont use them.
The main campaign doesnt require any expansion objects. Just pick the blue icon instead of the water/animal one.
i think you all are missing his point... he wants to disable them so that he isnt wasting his park money researching rides he isnt going to use. so far i havent been able to figure it out but i too would also like to keep RCT Vanilla in the first part of the game... its annoying that all of my time researching new things is spent on expansion set rides that i dont want instead of the normal ones that you would research with Vanilla RCT
The only disadvantage of this approach is that you waste a bit of money researching items you can't use (because you don't want to), but you can see that as an extra challenge!
Edit: The previous comments didn't show up for me until I posted this... But I agree with the previous posts, just don't use those items.
