Disabling expansions?

How would one go about this? I want to play RC3's vanilla missions... vanilla.

As far as I know you still can. Just follow the menu options to RCT3 in the campaign option. At least that's what I do.

You can choose the RTC3 campaign and the two addons seperately in the menu. Just choose the RTC3 campaign.

Well, I want to disable expansion pack rides and the like.

Just dont use them.

The main campaign doesnt require any expansion objects. Just pick the blue icon instead of the water/animal one.

The expansion items are researched, though.

As Nick said, just don't bother with placing them.

here's what you can do. write down every career mode scenarios goals and then make up your own scenarios that are as close as identical as those that came with the game. Yes it will take some time but in the end you will learn So much and enjoy the game more so for knowing all of it's ins' and outs'

i think you all are missing his point... he wants to disable them so that he isnt wasting his park money researching rides he isnt going to use. so far i havent been able to figure it out but i too would also like to keep RCT Vanilla in the first part of the game... its annoying that all of my time researching new things is spent on expansion set rides that i dont want instead of the normal ones that you would research with Vanilla RCT

Just ignore any rides/shops/scenery you unlock with an extension icon. Paths are the only item not clearly marked, but there is usually no reason to research paths as you will only unlock the extension ones.

The only disadvantage of this approach is that you waste a bit of money researching items you can't use (because you don't want to), but you can see that as an extra challenge!

Edit: The previous comments didn't show up for me until I posted this... But I agree with the previous posts, just don't use those items.
