Water rides that won't build, am I doing something wrong?
I've been trying to figure out how to build the water rides. I went through all the tutorials and it only seems to show you how to build generic slides. I want to place a ride like the water body slide, but when I try to place it anywhere near or on the pool a message either says "building intersects another item" (or something of the sort) or "the ends of the ride must be built on a pool". I'm at a bit of a loss as to how I'm supposed to position these rides. Can anyone give me a helping hand? Thanks in advance!

You probably need a bigger pool area. The end of a slide ride ends by spilling out into the pool itself. The beggining que of the ride needs to be inside the pool area also. The ride itself can/may extend outside of the pool area or even into another pool.....i think but the start and end must end in the pool area.

I tried placing it in different areas of the pool (been experimenting with it in sandbox mode) and it still doesn't seem to work. I took some screenshots of the different areas I tried to place it.

Is my pool still not big enough or something?

I checked and the other water rides seem to work fine but the big one still won't work. I feel like it's either bugged or I'm missing something really obvious lol.

Your pool is way too small. These rides need to be in the pool area to work. They will turn blue color then and plop down. I think that is where the ride gets its water from........the pool. in your last picture that pool doesn't even have water in it just all outside walk area( or thats the way it looks anyways) not the actual water area that is used for swimming so those rides might be able to be placed but won't fuction properly until water sections are in place. i know one thing for sure and that is the rides entrance should be over water. Also in your pics the ridde may be to low to the ground and if u use the tab key u can raise it up and it may turn blue so long as the entrance and exit are over water.

Some of the other water rides don't need a pool at all to be placed.

1. build swim area first. ( big enough for your ride or hand built slide u have in mind)
2. surround it with the pool's walking area.
3. place a number of entrances ( the more u have the cleaner the pool will be) see the entrance options
4. pick a slide or tube ride and place it over the water area and then use the tab to choose up or down
5. after u get it where u want it u may need to place a walk block where u need to make a staircase or ladders up to the slide's que so peeps can get to it and slide down. ( see my pic)

Ah ha! Thank you for your help. The rides in the screenshots worked, they just didn't appear to have water in them because the rides were closed- and no entry to the pool as it was just a test. Apparently the reason it didn't work was because I had to adjust the height of the ride a little. The ends must've been going under the water or something- thus why it wasn't letting me place it. As you can see the ride is able to be placed now, I just need to use it in a proper campaign and make the pool area a bit nicer now. (Please don't judge how I build pools by this- as I said, it was just a test to see if the rides allowed me to place them) ;)
