RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum!

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum. How do I join two ends of a roller coaster track?
How do I join one end of a rollercoaster track to another end? I assume what you tell me will apply for all coaster & wet flume rides. When I use that Auto Connector (or whatever it's called) The track end wiggles about like a worm but it never finds the other track end to connect to it. I realize that If Im due any updates for the game that steam should send them to me automatically so I dont think It's an update issue but correct me If Im wrong.

If anyone can set me straight on how to set up my first rollercoaster ride I would appreciate it. My first failed attempt was with the Hershey Coaster (whatever that is). If I should start with an easier one, please suggest it to me. Thank you in advance your your help.

A screenshot of your current coaster might help, but the whole thing is based on a grid placement. If the auto complete can't find a solution, there is likely terrain or scenery blocking it.

You can also place a couple prebuilts to see what a coaster should look like finished.

Kinda basic coaster, but here is a tutorial. There are probably more on youtube.

I'd go with one of the wooden coasters to start, they don't have a lot of the more complex elements like loops and stuff. You might even try a log flume ride to start, they are very basic and let you get the hang of it.

Connecting the end of the ride back to the coaster station can be a little tricky, especially if they're slightly different heights. You can turn on the height markers as well as the grid to help out with that.

Good luck! Creating coasters is a lot of fun, although the interface is rather clunky and can be frustrating at times.
