Still playing RCT3 in 2020?
I just started playing this game again. Loving it! Unfortunately, a few of the custom mods are no longer available.

Are you still playing this game? Just wanna say hi to you. If you have problems, remember to search the internet before posting. Most problems are similar in nature, but solutions can be found in the internet.

Still very playable in this new decade :)

What custom mods were you referring to?

Hi, I'm putting this with a translator in case something is misspelled, I wanted to know why it doesn't let me download or buy the game today, it's a game I used to play as a kid and I would like to play it but steam doesn't give me the option to download it

Hi Enzo. According to news, there was a dispute about payment between the game developer Frontier and the publisher Atari, which is still not solved. Because of this, RCT3 is pulled out of Steam list. As long as Atari doesn't pay the balance owed, RCT3 will not appear in Steam.

Hopefully, one day this game will come back. I was lucky. I bought it much earlier, but only started playing last year Dec.

Hi Full Throttle. Glad to hear there are people still playing RCT3 despite the presence of Planet Coaster.

Some custom scenery mods which were in two websites namely "rct-3.org" and "www.putmeonthenet.net" are no longer available anymore.

I tried searching them in CSDepot but they are not in there. So, I assume they are gone for good.

Oh ok, that's unfortunate. Yea I remember vpyro also had lots of custom fx files for fireworks and water but they too went under before I could collect most of those mods, though some went to rctgo and csdepot. Sometimes though some people re-upload files that used to be. I like to download the files and store them on a portable drive just in case these last two sites go down. Hopefully not anytime soon!

Planet Coaster is a fine game, though it could use more assets. But it is nice to switch between coaster building games and enjoy what each platform brings.

Guys, have you tried the 'Invisible Fence' from Belgabor's Invisible Doodads? Does it actually block peeps from passing through a path? It doesn't seem to work for me. Any idea why please?

I have both but Planet Coaster didn't do it for me.

Further adding to this, RCT3 is not even available for purchase neither on Atari's nor Frontier's websites, 99% sure it's because of this dispute. If anyone is looking for a copy, I have seen it as an actual CD-ROM available on Amazon and Ebay, but those are put out by users and not the publishers.

EDIT: this game is still available on Walmart.com, but not as a download (a physical copy of the game, just as it was back in late 1990's). Link: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rollercoaster-Tycoon-3-Platinum-includes-Soaked-and-Wild-Expansion-PC-Games/219229646

I always wonder if there is someone brilliant enough to add an Undo button for RCT3.
