Impossible to Start

I've just switched to an HP Spectre laptop running Windows 10, and upon re-installing the game, it just won't start. Every time I launch the game, it begins launching, the screen zooms in really far, like it's resizing the resolution weirdly, the RCT3 cursor appears for a moment, then disappears, the screen returns to normal, and the game stops running. There's no crash report, and no sign that this is an error.

Whenever I verify the integrity of the game files, I get a message saying there is 1 file missing that needs to be reacquired. I then verify again, and get told that all files are validated. I run the game, the same things happen, and when I verify once more, suddenly there's 1 file missing that needs to be reacquired once more. I'm at my wits end here.

Read the guide for setting up a custom resolution this may help you out

1 goto start icon
2 search for hidden
3 then click on show hidden files
4 then goto your name start - above documents it should say your name
5 go into that (your name folder then
6 APP DATA - Roaming - ATARI - options text you should see Resolution then 2 numbers at the start of the options text
7 find out your screen resolution then change it to what it is on the options text then save it
8 when done go back to hidden - then hidden files turn it off and save

if done correctly your RCT3 game will load up with your correct screen resolution but if you dont see resolution in options text load up game quick change it to any screen resolution quit game then it will auto add resolution to the options text then go thru steps 1 to 8 and only do steps 1 to 8 dont mess with the options text apart from changing screen resolution
