Mechanic

When I build a waterslide on a like on top of a hill, it says that no mechanic has the waterslide in their zones. And if said slide breaks down i cant figure out how to make a mechanic fix it. I tried putting the mechanic by the slide and it either doesn't let me or the mechanic just walks away. I am sure their is a simple soultion I just can't figure what the hell I am supoose to do.

The walways have to reach the entrance and exits both i beleive.

That means you have your mechanics zoned to only work in certain areas. You have to change one of your mechanics zoning areas - or get another mechanic. Go to your staff list and when it shows their location it should also show blue in their areas assigned. Just click they greyed out areas to make them blue and add to their patrol area (at least I know that is how it is done in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2).
