Dualshock 4 Controller not recognised

Does anyone know how to connect a dualshock 4 controller to the game? I know the controller is working as it works just fine in other games. In the joystick settings, the controller isnt showing up. Please help

Try this: Go to X-Plane 11 in your library and click the Manage button (little gear icon), then choose Properties, then Controllers. It should be set to Use Default Settings by default in the little drop down menu so you want to change that to Enable Steam Input. This will enable Steam's PlayStation controller support.

I don't use controllers with X-Plane so I don't know for sure if this will work but I think there's a good chance it will. I heard this works for other games for PlayStation controllers.

i use Dualshock 4 and i had the same problem. I disabled steam input and connected the pad by cable

Try DS4, it's an application for making any DualShock 4 an XboX controller!
