Alabeo / Carenado add-ons and compatibility with XP11

Hi All,

There are many attractive add-on aircraft made by Carenado / Alabeo (which seem to practically be the same company...?) that say, on their product pages, "for XPlane 10 only" or 10.5.

Some say compatible with XPlane 11. Some don't.

Meanwhile, some resellers of Carenado / Alabeo say that some of the "XPlane 10 only" models are also compatible with XP11.

Before I blow $30 on an airplane add-on that doesn't actually work in XP11, I wish someone could please enlighten me. Are the XP10 planes going to work in XP11, and how well?

I have mostly Alabeo and Carenado aircraft that say they are for XP11 on the Carenado website. I did purchase the C404 Titan which is for X-Plane 10 only. Thing is, on the X-Plane.org store it says it's for both 10 and 11. I asked Carenado about that and was told that while the aircraft that are for X-Plane 10 only should work on X-Plane 11, all of the features may not work correctly. For example the X-Plane 11 ones use PBR while the X-Plane 10 ones don't. The C404 Titan works OK in X-Plane 11 and I haven't noticed any particular problems. I also purchased the PA23 AZTEC F 250 which is for X-Plane 10 and it seems to work OK.

I see...that may be why on some websites they don't seem to make a fuss about XP10 vs 11, if the XP10 plane will work fairly well in XP11 as you have experienced. But if some features don't work, some users would feel ripped off if they devs claimed compatibility with XP11.

FWIW I'm looking to use a PA-32, built for XP10, in XP11.
