Activation issues ..
I'm a newbie (to XP11 and to real-world flying). I bought a real SR22T, and the Carenado SR22 add-in. I had initial difficulties getting XP11 to even see the plane, until I changed the way I unzipped the file.

Instead of allowig Safari (in the Mac) to unzip the file in the Downloads folder, I had to change the Safari preference to NOT open "safe" files. I then moved the .zip file to the ~/Aircraft folder, and unzipped it there, and VOILA! The plane now appears in XP11. However, I'm having trouble ACTIVATING the plane.

I started a new flight, and entered the serial number when asked. I received an "activation code" and then entered it into the website activate.securexplane.com. Automatically, a .key file was downloaded, which the website said I should put in the "project file". I don't know where that is. I did put it in the root Xplane folder, and the Aircraft folder and the SR22 folder.

Now, every time I start a new flight with the SR22, it asks me to activate. I'm stuck in a loop. I really want to "fly" in XP11 so I can practice flying my real SR22T!

Thanks in advance for all help!

Haven't purchased a Carenado plane, but I'd assume the project folder is somewhere in the SR22 folder.

Usually a SASL activation only needs the serial key to be inputted, the plane reloaded and it usually works.

Well, that's exactly wehre I put the aircraft.key file, in the Carenado folder. I've asked them for help, but nothing back yet on the problem.

Sure wish the activation process was easier.

Ok, so color me embarassed. It's "pilot error" ... mis-typed the activation key, like EVERY TIME. Finally got it working. It sure woud be nice if there were an error message like "Invalid Activation Key" rather than just take you back to the dialog box that says "enter activation key". Geezz!
