X-plane control pad for android
Hey guys! Laminar research has a instructor operator system app called X-plane control pad. You can change weather, make failures, and place your aircraft anywhere etc. I like the app, I use it with my old iphone, but do you know is that app coming to android and when?

I'm not familiar with the app, but from the sound of it, X-Plane has that funcionality built-in. Go in the Flight menu, and click on "Show IOS". And one of the buttons on the titlebar of the window that shows, allows you to pop the window out of the the main X-Plane window so you can move it to a secondary monitor or whatever.

Alternatively, by running another copy of X-Plane on another computer, you can connect thru LAN, and in the Graphics tab of the settings you can switch the setting in "Monitor usage" to "Instructor Operating Station" to do the same thing remotely (I'm don't got a second machine to test this ATM, dunno if there are any extra steps; also, I dunno if you can do it with the demo version, or if you need to purchase a second full copy).

I can't answer the question but I can say I'd love to see Control Pad for Android too.

I'd like to see such an app for Windows, as there are less and less good Android tablets and the market seems to split between iOS and Windows here. And on a small phone this makes no real sense. A Windows app would also have the advantage that it also could be run on any other Windows PC, but should have a touch-capable UI.

Right now you might find some third party stuff, maybe making use of XPUIPC plugin in a smiliar way like Pilot2ATC does, and connecting to the "server" where XP runs via local network. Though a native solution by LR would be the best.

Thank you for answers. I use the instructor operator station, and control pad on my old iphone. It would be nice to have on android, but doesn't seem coming. The second monitor tip is nice. Thank you for that. I use the as cockpit and xplane screen, and use computer screen as map, and now I will also put the iOS there. iOS doesn't have all the functions that control pad app has, but it's fine.
