X-Plane not opening, black screen and steam bottom right thing seems corrupted

Hi everyone, one day my sim was having some trouble running correctly after a miami zurich flight. then i reopened it and it could not start. I tried:
-opening as administrator
-checking filed integrity
-re-installing
(in that order)
No luck so far, and playing x-plane on vatsim is the only thing i do on my computer.

I have flown over 10,000 hours on Xplane11 and now have added Xplane 12. When I attempt to open Xplane 11 now, I get this black screen and no further opening of the sim. I did verification on the Xplane11 files. Next I un-installed Xplane11 and then re-installed it and I still just get the Black screen and the Sim will still not open after all of that. Can somebody help with that?

Try checking for updates available in your Windows 10+ OS store via the Start menu. You might need to update to the latest apps and drivers to get up and running again. I know there was a recent update for Windows Mixed Reality via the Windows Start Menu Store and that may be your issue.

Try running the standard Windows update too and reloading or updating your video graphics drivers. Reboot afterwards and try again.

You may also want to try to navigate to your X-Plane 11 installation directory

Example

C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11

Select the "X-Plane.exe" file and right click mouse, select "Properties" ( At very bottom ). Click into the "Compatibility" tab and check mark "Disable fullscreen optimization"

That may help as that option is known to cause games not to launch sometimes.
