steam has a function to transfer a game to a different directory. create a new steam library in the D drive and transfer.
I noticed that when I placed the cursor over the install to X-Plane Folder box in Orbx Central,, it gave the path C:\Programme Files\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11. When I hovered over the Library box, I got the path C:\User\Roger\Orbx Library – which I can’t find on Explorer.
I thought that X-Plane 11 was just running from my larger ‘D’ drive, so I have checked and found D>Programme Files>Steam Library> steamapps>common>X-Plane 11. I have also found on the ‘D’ drive list yet another mention of the X-Plane! This time it is D>steamapps>common>X-Plane 11
It does seem that it is a bit of a muddle and might have taken place when I changed my computer and someone ‘set it up’ for me!
It would be much appreciated if someone could help me get out of this muddle and advise on the best and safe way to have the X-Plane 11 running only on my ‘D’ drive.
Kind regards
Roger
Check the options... all the paths can be changed.
It is not wrong!
1. He wants to transfer the steam installation on "D" as well.
2. Those transfering options might work with standard games. But with flight sims and all the external programs they do brake more than they cure.
Nothing beats a clean and fresh installation.
