I have the 1060 6gb & a i7 7700k, it works decent enough for me and my needs, then again, I don't need graphics up massively.

3gb or 6gb model?

I am running X-Plane 11 on a 1080 Ti with 11G of VRAM and for the most part use up to 6G of VRAM for most flights. But weather affects how much VRAM is used and even with the default weather under overcast conditions ( I.E. a lot of clouds) I have seen my VRAM usage almost max out. If your GTN 1060 has 6G or more of VRAM you should be OK.
Wasn't 6 millions Feb 26, 2021 @ 11:33am
I run it on my 1060 3gb, graphic at medium and getting around 50-55fps. If u run it for the sim and not for the graphic it's more than enough.

depends on a plane you want to fly and where, though if you are gonna fly a jumbo at 38000 feet then you won't need 60-70 for a good experience

so if i understand this.the game will run with no problem on medium to high settings with most planes and still going to have above 50 fps?is that right?

You are making a bad assumption. I am running an I7 7700 4.2GHz, 32G RAM, SSD drives and a GTX 1080 Ti 11G video card. My fps is anywhere from 25 fps up to 60 fps or higher. It all depends on the scenery density in the area you are flying. The simulator is optimized for 30 fps. I don't understand why people are so fixated on frame rates. Anything 25 fps and above gives me smooth performance.
