Yes there is a basic tutorial but this is a simulator not a game. The amount of documentation that would need to be added to learn to fly is too much for a simulator. But like the rest of us, you have the web available to search for tutorials and videos on how to fly certain aircraft. People are always willing to answer any questions you have and assist in you learning to fly.
If you couldn't fly this simulator I do not think you will have any better luck with the new Microsoft flight simulator. But have at it.
#1 Because this is a simulator, dont be expected to be hand held through anything, you can find HOURS and HOURS of youtube content on how to fly a plane. If it was a waste of time you shouldent be in the flight sim community then. Also, why should you need a tutorial, sense you are just the flight sim boss here.
#2, The planes quality depends on where and who you get them from. My version of the zibo works like a dream. I dont know what you are complaining about when it is maybe pilot error or you downloaded planes from some russian guy
#3, Buy a joystick, Mouse yoke is sheet. (How do you have 500hrs on FSX but no joystick) They're F***King 30 bucks
#4, The visual, comparing to p3d or fsx it is by far the best sim for visual, however out of the box it isnt very well compared to FS2020. If you only have 8 buildings that might be because your settings are EXTREMLY low because what ever potato deep fried in ketchup pc you have cant handle it. I can agree that it doesnt come very well out of the box, With xplane you get a base game, you make it whatever you want. If you are not willing to spend time then just stop then.
#5, Side thing. There are THOUSANDS of addons you can use to enhance you sim, you are just so impatient you cant just spend time to improve, If thats who you are then playing another game would be better. Also the visuals https://prnt.sc/1078xaz. FS2020 is more of a game then a simulator, its marketed to people like you, I hate to say this but simple people who dont really know what flight sim is. Xplane 11 is marketed to people who want to get serious with flight sim, people who have a passion.
Look man, you have 24 hours in xplane. It took 500 hours of xplane and testing for me to get in too it. It takes time, if you stick with it, you will like it. All it is time and money with flight sim.
I have P3D, XP and MSFS and have been flight simming for over two decades. I started messing around in XP with 9. All of them have their pros and cons. I've dumped money into all of these sims and to this day I do enjoy all of them but there are some things in MSFS I simply can't stand right now.
Contrary to a point-and-click game, you need to tinker with a simulator a bit. The web is full of tutorials, guides and manuals, how to use X-Plane from beginner level to an expert. All you need to do: use a search engine of your choice.
By the way... startup menu of X-Plane, 4th button from top. What's that? A flying school? I would call that kind of a "tutorial". So much to "no tutorial". You don't need a guide, you need new glasses, mate. ;-)
Do you really wanna fly an airliner with your mouse? Then were done here, no need to waste more time to cover all other aspects of your complaint then. Proper simulation is just not your thing. ;-)
But the graphics get really good if you invest ca 1-2 months into downloading mods, testing mods, generating Orthos. You must run Ortho4XP at night and test them during the day for sa few weeks and the results will slowly swing your opinion around.
I spent about 250 hours and 4 Terabyte from them on it was fantastic, I have now graohics for most of Western Europe and can actually enjoy the game.
Here is one of my screenshots, most of Europe and North Africa looks like that

Or if this is too much for you, just download extended night lights and fly exclusively at night.
There are other products that scratch the same itch these days - and they're leagues ahead out-of-the-box.
1) If you have trouble in flight control or don't know what to do, watch youtube, there are tons of tutorial you might want to watch. You basically can learn everything from youtube.
2)Don't use the aircraft that comes with the game try get some other aircraft from the forum like zibo 737-8 or buy an paid aircraft, they are just perfect.
3)Get a joystick, no one would play this game without a joystick...I think
4)If you compare with msfs. Yes, the graphics may not be the best, but you can go to the forum to download some scenery and airport, I use ortho and hd global scenery to enhance the graphics, most of them is free. But just note, x plane is not a game, I use x plane is not because I want to see how stunning the scenery are, if you want to play flight sim and look stunning view or landmark, msfs is your best choice.
1) If you can already fly a 737, I don't see why you'd need a tutorial to learn how to fly the 737 again. There's also EXTENSIVE tutorials on every aircraft on Youtube.
If you want a good 737 to fly, check out the Zibo mod 737, along with the several hour long tutorial series to go with it.
2) I've never experienced any of the problems you're describing with autopilot, but in saying that, I've flown a default aircraft maybe 1 time. TBH it sounds like you just don't really know what you're doing, and don't want to invest any time to learn. This sim takes a lot more than a default tutorial to teach you anything.
3) Again, it's not a game, it's a sim. You need to invest time into setting it up, which includes setting up your controls. If you don't like the responsiveness of the defaults, you have every option to change those sensitivities if you want to, but you don't want to.
4) I can sort of agree here, but visuals are the trade off you make for having a somewhat realistic flight model and a stable FPS. Theres also several things you can do to improve the visuals, but again, you aren't interested.
If you're only interested in visuals and arcade "game" like flying, I'd recommend MSFS2020.
Ok I am gonna be real with you. You are probably not the target audience for this flight sim. If you bought MSFS2020 and you're happy with it, that's great, but at the moment, without starting the discussion which one is better (although in my opinion, at least now, it's still X-Plane), I have to say that maybe this sim isn't quite meant for people like you. This sim is used by real pilots and i have seen it being used in flight schools (just like P3D). So just to clarify a couple of things that others have already mentioned above. This is a sim, don't expect to be guided through and rather do some research yourself. Furthermore the default aircraft aren't what you should base your judgement on. The base aircraft in every flight sim are total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's the same way in MSFS btw. Have you tried flying their default A320? You probably need to upgrade them with payware or even freeware (like the freeware Zibo 737, which is amazing). And for MSFS there just isn't anything really out there yet, that is study level enogh to statisfy the X Plane user that seeks realism. The controls in this sim, if you have a proper HOTAS or something else, are quite amazing actually. At least in my case I've had a worse experiences with other flight sims. Additionally the graphics were quite good for it's time, and sure without additional scenery VFR flying isn't really possible, but the graphics are still quite good for a flight sim and were top notch when it was released. So to conclude I would say maybe you are gonna come back to this sim, when you have gotten into flight simming a bit more.
