Please help with XP Overlay Editor

The first time I used the editor, I added objects that I now cannot remove. I tried to disable / delete every overly (and even underlays) from this area using trial and error to no avail. These objects are still popping in. Here is my log. My best guess is that I somehow edited the Global Scerey folder and I do not know how to bring it back up in the editor to delete the unwanted objects I added by mistake.


I noticed this line in the log, and I tried to delete this folder that was calling in the object, but then when the sim staterted, it said I would have to only fly with water. Something about missing a file.

Sounds like you modified and then deleted default scenery. This would be rewritten in updates anyway.

Verify the integrity of game files to get those files corrected.

If you "verify integrity of game files" (in the Local Files tab of X-Plane 11 properties from the game your steam library) you should get the missing file back. There may be a quicker way, but this should work.

Hey guys, this seemed like it would have worked. I did as advised. After I verified integrity of the game, steam replaced 331 files that were missing and I thought this would have been an easy fix.

It didn't work. It's still pulling in objects for the Mr X Library for some reason. I don't mind any work-around suggestions, but shouldn't I just be able to open the files I changed in the editor and delete the objects that I don't want (it sure was easy getting them in there in the first place :-)? I can't seem to do that. When I open the tile in the editor, the objects are not there in this one instance. I do see them when I fly though. I have no issues making new scerey folders and using the program in the other ways it was intended.

Please don't let me be overcome by an overlay editor--I've come so far!

Here's my new log from this morning--same thing really. I'm using a mostly naked CS folder since the problem started to minimize the possible issues to check.

🐉 Ðŗąçø 🐉 Came through on this again. He noticed a folder was created in my Mr X library folder (see log aove). I think the editor did this automatically when I unwittingly hit a button affter downloading it at 9:00pm last night. After hours and hours of looking for the defective overlay, uninstalling and reinstalling every default folder in my x plane directory, I was guided to the DSF's location in one of my damn libray folders. I never would have looked there. This taught me how to read the log better as well as how all the layering works in XP CS Folder. It was worth the headache. Thanks.
