Traffic Global VS World traffic
Hi and good evening all. At least it is evening where I am sitting at the moment. Is traffic Global worth the money? I already have world traffic installed.

Or should I wait for the new MFS?

Thanks in advance

I have both World Traffic 3 and Traffic Global. Both work very well but I prefer Traffic Global. Why? Because once you install it and adjust the settings you don't have to do anything. It's there always running. With World Traffic 3 I have to set up a flight (departure and destination airports, flight altitude and departure time. Every time I want to use it I have to enter that information. Not so with Traffic Global. I just start XP11, start a flight and fly where I want and the traffic is always there. So if you are happy with having to enter information into World Traffic 3 every time you want to fly then stay with that. If, like me, you get tired of having to set up World Traffic 3 every time you want to use it, then go with Traffic Global.

Guys, I too would like to buy GLOBAL TRAFFIC, .... I need some information, is it a valid product, or can it create problems for the simulator? is it well tolerated? How does the base game change once global traffic is downloaded? is it complicated to install it? is it only in English? do you know the safest link from where you can download it? THANKS .

Does Global Traffic listen to x-planes ATC?
John W May 6, 2020 @ 8:02am
I can't answer the question regarding Traffic Global and x-plane's ATC as I use Pilot2ATC. It works well with Pilot2ATC. I haven't had any issues. I have been using Traffic Global for a while and haven't had any issues using it. It is straight forward to install. Once installed you go to your plugins menu and configure it. Once that is done you are good to go. I would suggest searching the web for reviews on Traffic Global. There are many out there.

Sorry JOHN-W once the download is done, how does the installation proceed where should I put it in the X-PLANE11 folder? What is the procedure? Thanks in advance for your help.

The installation says it will install to the following folder and to browse to another folder if you want to install to another location. I just browsed to my X-Plane 11 folder and chose that for the install location.

Thanks, for your answer, .... I think I will buy it I hope it is the right choice, .... you know I am always very cautious in these cases, I am afraid that in some way it will interfere with the smooth running of the simulator .

I have not noticed an fps decrease when Traffic Global is running. I think you will be OK. I still have World Traffic 3 but no longer use it since Traffic Global works so well and I don't have to enter flight data every time I want to use it. It's just there running in the background all of the time.

I will state one issue with Traffic Global that I have noticed. And this has been noted on the support forum as well. Initially I saw some gray AI aircraft taxiing and flying around. I checked the use substitutes and they either turned to white AI aircraft or were provided a livery. Apparently this is due to the number of airlines in their database versus the available liveries. Just Flight is aware of this and is supposed to be working on it. I don't see this that often and am willing to put up with it rather than go back to World Traffic 3.

I don't this that statement is exactly correct. I'm running version 1.0.9113 of Traffic Global and I have moving AI teraffic in Vulcan. I have keys programmed to bring up the aircraft labels and radar and those work as well. I believe there is still an issue with TCAS not working in Vulcan however.

I agree, its a fire and forget add on. Its not as detailed as WT3 but that doesn't bother me, as long as there are planes in the sky for the smallest fps loss
