X Plane Running In Demo Mode After Update

I recently had to do an update of X Plane provided by the X Plane updater
to make all files current. Now when I go to start the Simulator it tells me I have to purchase X Plane or it will only run in Demo mode. This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed. It now renders all scenery un-useable except for KSEA which is there default for Demo mode. HOW DO I FIX THIS ? The last time I had to fix a corrupt file the only way to fix it was to re-install the whole thing
that is very bad. Please help resolve this or give me a refund Steam seems to be in the way of allowing the product to operate correctly.

I purchased this from Steam not LM. So please advise
why this issue keeps happening. What is the solution?

You should update through Steam, not through installer. The installer you have is likely the demo version, so X-Plane.exe is a demo version. Replace this with the .exe on Steam, and it goes out of demo. Try installing a second copy from Steam, and copying the .exe into your existing folder.

Updates are automatic and are doen through steam. Verify the integryti of files and try again.

I have this same problem. How do you find the full version of the .exe file on Steam? The .exe file on my C:\Programme Files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\x-plane11\ just leads me to the demo version. Step-by-step on how to change this would be appreciated.

Just to add to my last post, I have right clicked on X-Plane 11 in my Library , gone to properties and opened the files. Found an .exe file but this STILL brought me back to demo mode only! Very frustrating! I'd thought I'd cracked it. It seem to be very difficult to get support from Stream and looks like I shall have to seek a refund and avoid future products if the lack of customer care continues

Unfortunately you can't launch X-Plane 11 from the .exe file, as it won't be connected directly to Steam. Try to delete X-Plane 11.exe in that location, and try running it directly from Steam. It should try to redownload the file. If not, delete it anyway and try verifying game cache files.

Hi Draco. You're a star!. Did as you said and removed the .exe file and then went to Libary to start X-Plane. After error message about missing file it went to re-loading and we are now up and running again. Many thanks for assistance, it was much appreciated.

Просто удалите X-Plane.exe, который находится в папке X: \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ X-Plane 11 \ X-Plane.exe.

Затем попробуйте запустить X-Plane 11 и снова перезагрузить файл.
