OR - thank all the guys that work so hard to put the free X-Plane aircraft together and don't get thanked often enough. Google "X-Plane 11 - Free Aircraft" lots of stuff out there.
However, there are tons of addons, aircraft included available for X-Plane 11. You just have to search for them. For instance, there is the Aerobask Robin DR401, the Zibo 737, the X737-700, X737-800, P180 Avanti, LET L-410, Embraer E-190LR. Just go to X-Plane.org and search (the X737 series is on it's own website, just search for x-737). There are videos about the best freeware aircraft for X-Plane on the web. My only issue with a lot of the freeware that is available is it does not meet my expectations. On the other hand there are an awful lot that do. Just keep searching.
The same applies to freeware out there for FSX, some good and some bad. That is why I purchase payware aircraft and scenery. I have a lot of freeware scenery for X-Plane 11, but for FSX I have gone with ORBX scenery. I like Carenado aircraft, for both FSX and X-Plane 11. Other aircraft I have for X-Plane are from FlyJSim (payware), Michael Wilson (payware), X-Aviation (payware), Just Flight (payware). You get the picture. The price I paid for the FlyJSim study level 732 and 727 was well worth it.
You get what you pay for. I have about $2,000 invested in payware for FSX Steam Edition and about $1,500 for X-Plane 11. Yes you can just fly the basic simulator and use freeware, but to get the most out of it, in my opinion, you have to spend some money. For me, flight simulators are "money pits". But that's because I get bored flying the same aircraft all of the time and enjoy purchasing addons for my simulators. That is just me. Others make due with the basic simulator and freeware. It's all a personal choice.
Just keep looking on X-Plane.org and check out the videos on freeware aircraft that are available. I'm sure you will find something that you like. But there are tons of freeware aircraft available for X-Plane out there.
1. Fly default planes and those couple of free planes
2. Buy some payware planes
3. Stop playing
So, you can't really say there are more "flyable" planes on the major competing platform, P3D. At this point, both sims have a great many high quality planes. There are some things that P3D does better and some things where X-Plane excels, but on the whole, there is no shortage of fantastic planes on either platform. On X-Plane, if you like tubeliners, grab the FF A320. If you like GA planes, grab the Hot Start TBM 900. THEN you can decide whether or not there are "flyable" planes in X-Plane. From there, there tens of other great planes to fly as well...
Let me guess it's a low quality plane where nothing worls and it has 2D cockpit?
Nonsense.
The issue is X-plane.org's TERRIBLE search mechanism that makes finding the good full featured planes a PITA.
There are quite a number there though not easy to find, and there are also sites that host their own PAYWARE quality FREEWARE aircraft, usually providing only 1-2 free planes per site. I've been putting together a list of these to post later...
Anyway from X-plane.org here is a few to get started with...

Really? A Prisoner?
Prisons. Getting way too easy if they're givin' y'all PC's to play on.
My guess - you're kid whose parents make him work to get the money to buy your games.
BIG difference in both meaning and ages.
So just as i thought. Mostly low quality ugly planes with few exceptions. And i guess neither sids on stars work in half of these.
True. I apologize to the OP for my stupid mistake...
Contrarians can't figure out the positives...
Sids and Stars? Just add the FMCs..
That was a list I put together with 6 minutes of searching. There are many more for those who search a bit more deeply...
Here's another "low quality" plane for you off an non-Xplane.org site.
