X-Plane 11

X-Plane 11

low FPS
i run xplane 11 on a I9, 2080TI, 32go RAM, he is installed on ssd and i get 15fps average, how is it possible? (no plugin exept xcamera, using the basic b58 plane)

I have an I7 7700 4.2 GHz processor, 32G RAM, GTX 1080 Ti 11G with 3 SSD's. I average around 20 fps around dense areas and up to 50 fps flying at altitude. There are many things that bring down the fps. Density of the scenery (if you are using add on scenery like KPHX by Nimbus) is one and the weather is another. I use Active Sky XP and if I turn it off I get almost 7 fps increase. Depending on the density of the clouds you are flying in, even with the default weather, the impact on frames can be significant. Here are my graphics settings so you can compare them to what you are using.

Visual Effects High(HDR)
Texture Quality Maximum
Antialiasing 4x SSAA+FXAA
Number of World Objects Maximum
Reflection Detail Minimal
Draw shadown on scenery checked
Draw parked aircraft unchecked

Also different plugins can have an effect on fps.

Honestly you should be able to run it easily on any settings. Where did you get your system from?

My guess is that you aren't using your 2080TI. You are probably using your built-in default GPU on the mobo. The following 3 lines (or something similar) should be somewhere near the beginning of your log file:

OpenGL Vendor : NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL Render : GeForce RTX 2080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
OpenGL Version : 4.6.0 NVIDIA 419.35 (460/0)

With the system you have you should be able to run the settings that John posted at 4K (except you don't need 4x SSAA for anti-aliasing) and get over 30 fps at the most complicated payware airports using the most complicated aircraft. X-Plane, while not ideal given that it needs an update from the current OpenGL setup, still offers good overall performance - I would argue somewhat better than P3D for equal graphics quality. I have the same setup as you except the 8700K @ 4.9 GHz (constant).

You might be right. Please make sure your monitor is plugged into your graphics card, NOT in one of the motherboards built in outputs.

thank for you answers, my screens are pluged on the GC i'll watch in game if he choose the 2080 for the render ^^

And when you plug into your moniter from the card use a display port cable not HDMI then you will get the full refresh rate I was only getting 60hrz when I switched now I get the full 144hrz.

You will only get 144Hz if you have a 144Hz monitor. And anyway, this will not improve the frame rate of X-Plane.

I do have a 144hrz moniter you are correct about FPS.
