Saitek throttle quadrant not recognize
Hello fellow aviators, I have an old saitek yoke (which I don't use anymore) and would like to try to use the throttle quadrant as cowl flaps and carb heat lever , I bought a USB adopter and my pc doesn't recognise it, the throttle quadrant works fine if it's plug in the yoke, Been searching in the net but no luck to find the solution.Maybe someone here has experience on this.

I had trouble getting some USB ports to recognize my throttle quadrant, rudder pedals, joystick using the adapter.
I put them in and out several times and the only the rudders kept showing up. I had them on an adapter which took up to 4 ports. I moved all but one off. I took the non essential cables out of the back and made sure all my USB cables for the throttle, joystick, rudder were all plugged in the rear of my PC. I booted the machine and got them all back.

Still no luck, if it's connected to the yoke it works fine..I only don't want to part with me that saitek control because I had that for a very long time and enjoyed so may flights in FSX with that , anyway.I might just sell the yoke and throttle quadrant on gumtree as it has no more use to me. I have a very good yoke now ( Flight master yoke III ) and Elite dual throttle quadrant and it works so good. I mostly fly GA single and twins. And by the way all of my hardwares are plugged in a powered USB hubs.

Sorry it didn't work. I fly GA with the Cessna Citation I downloaded off of xplane.org. I use clear weather, no wind and fly 450-500 mile legs across the US. No ATC, use 180 side approach to the airports no matter if they have a tower or not. You get to see more of the US that way.

I want to buy this logitech/saitek throttle quadrant to add to my Logitech extreme 3d and just to make sure I'm asking: will they work together? I don't need the original yoke right?

You can't use the throttle quadrant that plugs into the yoke without the yoke. I believe its something to do with the controller for it is in the yoke itself so it won't work without it.

What abaut the logitech rudder pedals, do they also require the yoke?

It's only the throttle quadrant that's bundled with the yoke that won't work solo. You can tell because it has the PS/2 Connector instead of a standard USB plug. Rudder pedals work fine on their own.

Hmm, When I researched the throttle I found out it had usb connecter. But I'm not sure if it can still work as standalone. Anyway there is no accurate info on logitech rudder pedals page and I found another rudder: Thrustmaster t.flight rudders. It says they are compatible with all joysticks. I think I'll take that.
