Enhanced Lights for X-Plane 11

I've been looking for something to improve on the night lighting in X-Plane 11. Some mods that I have found involved modifying some of the default X-Plane 11 files for lights. One in particular looked very good, but any time you had a problem with X-Plane 11 and needed to validate game files the enhancement was overwritten. So I kept looking for something that could enhance the lights but not be affected by validating game files. I found Enhanced Lights on X-Plane.org

To give you an idea of how it works. Just extract it into your custom scenery folder and then run the configuration tool in the Enhanced Lights folder. Select standard or performance, orange and white mixed or orange only. Below are shots of a departure from KPHX R25 at night, default lights and enhanced lights.

So far I am pleased and it seems to be working OK.

I wasn't aware of that. I fly mostly in the US, but with my purchase of ORBX TE GB South I will be flying a lot more in southern England. Hopefully they will update the lighting to include all of Europe and other areas.

No it does not. The lighting for TE GB South is controlled within the orbx scenery itself. I have used xOrganizer to turn off Enhanced Lights and turn it back on while flying in TE GB South. I cannot see any difference with it enabled or disabled. So it's great, it works in other scenery areas but does not interfere with any of the scenery addons I have that have their own custom lighting.
