Supersampling with Oculus

Hi everybody;

How do you configure the supersampling setting in Xplane? With the Oculus Tray Tool, or with SteamVR setting? For instance, If I set in Oculus Tray the supersampling at 1.5, should I set it in Steam VR 0?

And another short question, there is any way to use 124thatc in VR?

1. Do it though the tray tool. Don't launch X-Plane through SteamVR either; it's just dropping some performance. P.S. I find SS lags the heck out of X-Plane!

2. Depends if it supports VR. If yes, Bob's your uncle. If no, then you'll have to wait for it to be VR compatible. If all it has is a ton of menus, then these can be accessed by the plugin menus through your touch controller.

Yes... I don't even know if it runs through SteamVR anymore...

Tell us your impressions launching from Oculus compared with launching from SteamVR!

Could not see a difference between them when i tried.
Started x-plane from steam, framerate flux between 22-26
Started x-plane from home, framerate flux between 23-27
rebooted
Started x-plane from home, framerate flux between 23-29
rebooted
Started x-plane from steam, framerate flux between 22-27

So maybe 1-2 FPS difference, but not significant.

I also noticed that showing the mouse cursur in oculus vr kills the frame rate. Definately add a toggle button to turn the mouse on/off.

Watch your RAM utilization and you'll see a difference.

That in turn will affect FPS on systems with less RAM.
