Seasons? Snow?

Are we going to get seasons/snow? I see there is rain but I would love snow and seasons.

I've asked this question before and there wasn't an answer except that it isn't a priority of LR but is/may be in the timeline at some point. In the mean time I have purchased TerraMaxx which gives me seasonal textures. The only problem is it only works on default textures. Here is a link for TerraMaxx.

There is a product coming along that should provide winter textures, xEnviro 1.10. xEnviro is primarily a weather engine that will extent to provide seasons, water on the ground, and other effects. Here is a link to monitor progress on xEnviro.

X-Plane feels extremely lacking in realism features and relies too much on third-party payware addons, IMO. You get too little in the base game package for the money they are asking.

Want actual snow in the winter so country you're flying don't look ridiculous? $30.
Want aircraft that is actually realistic? $30 for EACH.
Want ATC that is at least remotely close to the real thing? $30.
Want decent airports to fly from/to with animated gates, auto/gate system? $30 for EACH ONE.
Want actual AI traffic so the world doesn't feel like it was taken over by zombie apocalypse? $30.
Want realistic functioning weather? $30.
Want clouds that look like clouds? $30.

The list goes on... Being flight simmer these days is like being a cow on the farm.

I like that you are giving me addons for xplane to enhance the weather/environment but I don't want to have to pay for something that should have been implamented in the game from day 1. Other than that Xplane11 is one of the best sims I have played by far.

They have no intentions of putting seasons in, though apparantly xEnviro are adding seasons with their weather app. They have been making X Plane since 1996 so the expectations are what they are. Personally I dont care for seasons. It just blankets snow when there is none in the winter..... I constantly need to change P3D to spring or autumn if I want the landscape to look like it does outside. We only have snow for 2 weeks of the year. I would like there to be snow when its snowing mind. Anyhow, I use Ortho. Flight simming has always been an expensive hobby.

There is nothing wrong with the aircraft that come with the sim btw. Much better than what you get with the competition... The weather is also real world weather, as close as it gets. Its even up there with paid products for accuracy.... All other flight sims have only options for weather as in clear, stormy etc....

I do seem to be flying in P3D more these days though. After flying through Active Sky clouds I can't really take the spinning clouds in X Plane....
