He means that you have to release the brakes.
but how do you release the brakes ,(is it the parking brake, or nomal brake?)
Both must be released.
If your controller does not have brakes assigned and/or if there are no brakes assigned and windows sees the controls as "mid way", then Better Pushback assumes you are partially asserting the brakes and will not push back.
If you see the Better Pushback dialogs and overhead view asking how you want to position the plane on pushback, then it -IS- working properly and the issue is with your control inputs.
