Joysticks no longer detected

Hello All,



now this is VERY weird. All of a sudden, with no new pluggin or anything installed, my X plane 11 no longer detects my flight controls. I was using the Logitech 3D Extreme Pro up to now with no issue. Then all of a sudden, I launch X plane and In game I get the little cross in the middle of the screen which usually would happen if you disconnect your controls. But I checked and the controls are plugged in as usual. I opened the settings and went to JOYSTICK tab, and it doesn't detect any controls. I tried everything and even tried my X box 360 controller. X plane refuses to detect any joystick and I get a message saying: "No Flight controls found". X plane could not find any joystick, yoke, pedals...".

Yet everything is plugged in and Windows (W10) control panel shows the joysticks and other controls. I tried verifying the integrity of the game cache in STEAM, but nothing works. It was just abrupt. I installed nothing and since yesterday nothing is detected anymore.

Have you tried resetting your preferences. ?

Yes, I reset the settings but it did not work. I found a topic saying to disable the "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support" in Steam settings, and it also did not work. So I went into big picture mode and disabled Use Steam input settings, and then the joystick was recognized in the game. Thank's for ur attention.

Thankfully you got it fixed.. intersting this same issue plagued me a while back with other games and the steam overlay controller configuration.. had to totally disable it.

Should have known.

You think these guys at Valve would be smart enough to fix such a problem.. and not have me go to the big picture mode that I NEVER use and think is pathetic.. just to configure the controller.

Why that menu is not available from the regular interface or settings is beyond me.

Did you turn off "BIG PICTURE MODE" support?

That is really an issue with Steam's support of remote streaming controllers, not with X-plane.

Seems something similar with Track IR with the new beta 11.30 you end up when using Track IR outside the aircraft so for moment have taken the 11.30 beta off. All working normally
when taken 11.30 beta off.
