What is Zibo 737?
I understand that it is add-on ,
And I see a lot of users use this add-on.
But my question, Can I use the default 738? And What are the differences between Zibo and the default 738?

Hi! So the zibo mod for the default 737-800 is an mod that modifies the aircraft in all ways. systems, Advanced FMC, cockpit re-texture (darker) and much more, and ofcourse the amazing FMOD sounds by AudiobirdXP. Yes you can use the default 737 but you will definetely not get the same realism as you would if you fly the zibo 737. Comparing the default 737 to the zibo 737 is like comparing a Lamborghini toy car to a real Lamborghini. But on a real note you should definetely go and grab the zibo it's basiclly a free PMDG 737. Happy landings

Well thank you for the detaild answer.
From what I saw The default 738 of X plane 11 is pretty realistic right? I mean, its nothing like the default B738 of FSX...

While the Zibo 737 has a great accurate system simulations that are very close to the real life 737's, the default 737 has still some advantages due to the simplifications.

For example you can jump to any situtaion immediately without having to reconfigure all the systems and concentrate on just flying it manually for example. This is one of the main reasons that I sometimes use the default 737 instead of the Zibo mod.

But you should be aware that you then miss some useful features that the real 737's provide their pilots like additional indicators on the speed tape for example showing the configured reference speed for the approach which also can simplify manually flying it.

Good to know! Thanks.
What do you think about the FMC of the default 737?

Speaking of the Zibo 737, can anyone tell me which version or update to download? I'm new at this, I might be missing something, but I did download the latest I think 3.28? and the FMC I could n't expand to a larger window.
Anyway, just curious, what version you have or should I just have the latest.
Agge Aug 5, 2018 @ 5:36pm
Right now the latest zibo version is 3.29c

Why Zibo 737 is freeware? Who is Zibo's creator? Why he works for free?
For me Zibo is a prefecture-level city in central Shandong province, China.
Has he developed all the source code or simply copied it from another developer who certainly pays for all copyrights? Has he work alone?
"This is modified default B737-800 by me. You don't need extra 3rd plugin, only X-Plane 11. This plane is free and it will be always free."
Doesn't Zibo want money because he loves the community?
"But on a real note you should definetely go and grab the zibo it's basiclly a free PMDG 737. Happy landings".
So to get a x-plane 10's update (x-plane 11) I had to pay $59.99, but now zibo's aircraft that looks like PMDG 737 ($69.99 + $24.99) its free!.
The X-Plane 11 - Add-on: Aerosoft - CRJ 200 ($44.99) has a bad quality.
Certainly Laminar Research doesn't has to answer any of these questions because it has no responsibility ...but I really would like to understand what lies behind it all ...

It's not a 737 built from the ground up, its a modified version of the default. One reason it's
free is because he can't sell Laminar's work. What he has modified is his own work,
however, the soundpack is made by someone else, audiobirdxp.

See above, and also, why should he make it payware?

See above again.

Not zibo problem, user didn't set up plane correctly

Unrealistic physics => https://steamcommunity.com/app/269950/discussions/0/1733210552653975493/

Laminar issue.

Speedbrakes not fine => https://steamcommunity.com/app/269950/discussions/0/1743343017616935178/

Why would there be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ callout on a Boeing?

unstable versions => https://steamcommunity.com/app/269950/discussions/0/1739964766314476575/

What? You expect a single person working on a complex aircraft for free to release a
major update for free with no bugs?

long haul flights is a nightmare => https://steamcommunity.com/app/269950/discussions/0/3338745825896565326/

It's not even a long haul acft. it's a 737. Fly flights you can finish, or leave the computer
running with pause at t/d. that way you can do something else during the ever so exciting cruise phase of the flight.
