FS Global Weather - Anyone use it?
I was thinking about a weather engine to supply the latest METAR weather updates and a bit of reading up here and there suggest that FSGW is the one to use.

I will use it in conjuntion with xplane default weather for the actual cloud textures until Active Sky becomes available for the XP platform as I have no interest in either XE or SMP for the actual texture side of things.

Xplane does not really give the latest weather updates and I proved that to myself many times by looking at the airports i'm landing at in the Sim to those in Flight Radar 24 and Xplane is not always acurate and it's quite frustrating when you check all the aviation weather online e.t.c only to have xplane tell you something different.

So is FSGW the one to get or are there others on the market to look at?

Thanks.

Is the weather up-to-date like in the real world, unlike Xplane which does often appear less current.

For example, in Xplane I might be to told to land on a particular runway, say 27L at Gatwick but Flight Radar 24 shows them landing and departing on runway 08R, the other end.

Q8Pilot has just released his new video about FSGRW versus Xplane 11 default weather. It couldn't have come at a better time because I really want to get this.

forgot to mention is pretty heavy on fps with the cloud layers
Stringbean Aug 4, 2018 @ 7:21pm
I purchased it this morning. Produces many more layers of clouds. No problems with FPS for me. So much better than default.

Yep, thinking about buying this. Kinda lost faith in xEnviro.... FPS is so bad.
